We dined at Mille tonight for my birthday and were incredibly disappointed. We had read great reviews beforehand and were very excited to try a new restaurant. We admired the decor and thought that it was very visually appealing. We started off great with a couple cocktails and appetizers. We had the chicken meatballs and the mussels, which we did enjoy. But before we could finish our appetizers they were trying to pick up our plates that had a significant amount of food on them still, to put down our ceaser salad. The first waitress was very polite and told us not to rush, but our main waiter, we believe his name is Harvey (he had purple in his hair and glasses), abruptly moved our plates around and pushed the next course onto our table. We weren't sure why he was being so rude and abrupt with us, when we clearly saw him engaging other tables in conversation and being very friendly. He also did not ask if we were celebrating anything, when we watched him bring a small cake and candles over to another table. We felt rushed as well before our main courses came out, and unfortunately these were the most unappetizing. We had the chicken thighs and the mushroom pasta and both were very bland and tasteless. We were shocked that somewhere with such great reviews could have dishes that were so disappointing. We mentioned this to the waiter and he did ask if we wanted something else, but we declined. We felt dismissed when he continued to be very cold towards us and dropped the pay machine off without saying anything and never came back to ask if we wanted a receipt. When splurging on dinner the least we expect is to feel like we were treated with respect and to have an enjoyable meal, but unfortunately we felt like we did not receive either.

Read moreMille is hands-down one of my new favourite spots in the city. The food is fantastic—rich in flavour, beautifully presented, and at a price that feels more than fair for the quality you’re getting.
The moment you walk inside, you feel like you’ve stepped into a high-end resort. The marble details, elegant décor, and overall atmosphere give the place an elevated, luxurious vibe without feeling stuffy. It’s the kind of spot that makes you want to dress up a little, which I actually really enjoyed.
Service was top-notch. Harvey took care of our table and absolutely nailed it with his recommendations—every suggestion was spot-on. The drinks were perfectly balanced, and while we sat inside this time, the patio looks amazing and is definitely on my list for the next visit.
I’m also excited for what’s coming this fall—new menu items like carbonara (my all-time favourite) and a breakfast option, which is something the area has been desperately needing.
All in all, Mille nails that sweet spot of upscale atmosphere, great service, and delicious food at a decent price. Can’t wait...
Read moreWe had an absolutely stellar experience at Mille this weekend. Our server, Harvey, was efficient, friendly and attentive, without being intrusive. The whipped ricotta appetizer with apricot preserves was so, so delicious as was the bruschetta. The beef carpaccio, not a dish I would normally order, was delightful. The presentation, sauce and fried caper garnish truly took it to the next level. We shared the pasta al limone (sublime, I will have trouble ever ordering anything else), chicken cacciatore (so delicious and the perfect fall vibe) and an amazing salad with roasted/candied squash (all other squash will pale in comparison now). For dessert we shared the orange olive oil cake with white chocolate ganache and an incredible orange sauce (gluten free and so amazingly flavourful) as well as the beautiful and delicious chocolate pistachio cake. The cocktails were wonderful too, with some innovative taste profiles and stunning presentation table side for smoked cocktails. Add in the beautiful decor and there are a million reasons to be a repeat Mille customer! 10/10,...
