I recently dined at OEB in Calgary and was thoroughly impressed by the experience. From the moment you walk in, the restaurant’s decor catches your eye. The place is beautifully decorated, with a unique character that adds to its charm. The ambiance creates a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere, making it a great spot for both casual meals and special occasions. The food at OEB is delightful. The portions are generous, ensuring you get great value for your money. I particularly enjoyed the salmon and the Moroccan dish, both of which had a wonderful flavor and a bit of a spicy kick that added to the overall enjoyment. It’s clear that the ingredients are fresh and well-prepared. One of the highlights of my visit was the juice, especially the orange juice, which is organic and incredibly fresh. It’s a perfect complement to the hearty meals and adds a refreshing touch to the dining experience. While the food and atmosphere are excellent, be aware that there can sometimes be waits, especially during peak hours. However, the wait is usually manageable, and it’s worth it for the quality of food and service you receive. Overall, OEB is a fantastic place with great food and a pleasant atmosphere. Whether you’re a local or just visiting Calgary, it’s definitely worth a visit. The combination of well-decorated interiors, flavorful dishes, and fresh juice makes for a memorable dining experience. I look forward to returning!

It was our 3rd time at OEB and unfortunately, was a very terrible experience that almost killed our appreciation for OEB. We went around 930 AM on a Saturday (Aug 5, 2017). I ordered the Primavera while my friend ordered a farmer's delight. While the food came quick with little wait, we both observed it was bathing in oil (See Pics attached). The adjacent people (we were sitting at the bar) also voiced a similar concern. Both my friend and I left the restaurant feeling very sick from the food. I had an immediate reaction using the washroom a little later while she started feeling unwell couple of hours later. We are pretty sure it's the food that ruined most of the morning and afternoon of that Saturday for us. What is it OEB with the declining food quality? Also a couple of other observations : 1. The waitress's demeanor was surprising. For example : I understand we generally get served from the right. Our waitress served the plate in between the two of us, coming from behind us as we sat on the bar. The person who took our order did come around from the back of the restaurant. 2. We also had to chase her for ordering more items on the menu (extra bread etc) and so on. Overall it was like a 1/10 experience for us, unfortunately that's not an option here. I might sound super harsh in this review here but OEB, you really made us sick today.

OEB Downtown Calgary Review OEB Breakfast Co. in downtown Calgary is a fantastic spot for a morning meal. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with a bubbly and energetic atmosphere, perfectly setting the tone for a positive dining experience. The staff are truly a highlight. They are consistently attentive, ensuring your coffee cup never runs dry and checking in just the right amount without being intrusive. Their friendliness shines through, making you feel welcome and valued as a guest. They seem genuinely happy to be there, which adds to the overall positive vibe of the restaurant. On the menu, the Vegetable Primavera Scramblette is a standout dish. It's a delightful and fresh take on a classic breakfast item. The scramblette is perfectly cooked, light and fluffy, and generously filled with a vibrant mix of mushrooms, tomatoes, bell peppers, and spinach. The addition of feta cheese provides a lovely salty and creamy counterpoint to the fresh vegetables. It's a satisfying and flavorful option that doesn't leave you feeling heavy, making it a great choice for those looking for a lighter yet delicious start to their day. You can also opt for gluten-free potatoes or artisan greens instead of the standard potatoes with this dish. While opinions on price can be subjective, considering the quality of the ingredients, the generous portion sizes, and the exceptional level of service, OEB Downtown Calgary offers great value for the experience. You are not just paying for a meal; you are investing in a delightful and memorable start to your day. The care and attention to detail in each dish, like the fresh vegetables in the Primavera Scramblette, justify the price point for a special breakfast or brunch outing. Beyond the exceptional service and the delicious Vegetable Primavera Scramblette, OEB's downtown location offers a lively and welcoming ambiance. The decor is unique and charming, contributing to a memorable dining experience. While it can get busy, which sometimes leads to a wait, the overall experience makes it worthwhile. The commitment to fresh, high-quality ingredients is evident in every dish. In summary, OEB Downtown Calgary offers: Attentive, friendly, and bubbly staff who enhance the dining experience. A delicious and fresh Vegetable Primavera Scramblette featuring a medley of perfectly cooked vegetables and feta cheese. Great value considering the high-quality ingredients, generous portions, and exceptional service. A vibrant and welcoming atmosphere with unique decor. High-quality, fresh ingredients in all their dishes. While some reviewers note that the prices can be a bit higher than average, the quality of the food and the overall experience at OEB Downtown Calgary make it a worthwhile treat for breakfast or brunch. It's a place where you can expect a delicious meal, excellent service, and feel that you've received good value...
