Whether you're a die-hard hockey fan or follow international soccer, just ask, and they'll do their best to tune it in. Beyond the screens, Garage Sports Bar offers more than just spectating. Read moreWe came in on a Sunday and it was buzzing in there. Great atmosphere and thought it would be a great place to grab some drinks and a couple of appetizers. We were told there were 2 seats at the end of the bar so we headed down to watch the end of baseball game. We waited for close to 10 minutes for the bartender to get our drink order. In defense to him (Dan) he was getting slammed so we can understand the wait. What I can't understand is how our seats became the holding area for all the dirty glasses from the tables in the restaurant. The servers were litterly shoving glasses in front of me to get them off their trays. They just kept coming, the whole time we sat there! They were nudging beside me to find a place to drop off more dirty glasses, they actually put some in front of us. I would understand if it was the servers area and if we were in an area we shouldn't have sat, but nope, it was at the bar! We obviously elected not to stay around and grabbed our tab and went elsewhere to eat and enjoy the afternoon. Not sure how one of the many staff there didn't see this to be completely unacceptable, but everything was still there when we left. I had the Kokanee, you can see it in the midst of the numerous dirty glasses and trays. Don't know if I'd recommend going in there if it's busy, seemed to be alot of confusion and...
Read moreTerrible customer service! My family and I looked over the menu and decided we would order from the outside counter as we had our 12 year old daughter with us and no minors were allowed. We went up to the counter and before we could even say anything, the employee angrily hollered from the back "We are closed, I have a bunch of people on the other side I have to deal with". This was around 6:30 pm on a Saturday. There was no sign up saying they were closed so how were we supposed to know! Pleasantries go a long way and the rudeness of that employee was noted and we will never ever return. It's amazing to me how restaurants around Calgary are crying for business and yet when the people show up they are met with hostility...
