I was pleasantly surprised by café Dorothy, I didn't know what to expect and came in with zero expectations, after someone suggested it to me. Their pastries all looked fabulous and there was quite an array, something for everyone but their strawberry shortcake is what caught my eye! It was packed in a cute to go box with a handle, take out convenience at its finest. The cake was an even amount of chantilly cream, fresh strawberries and vanilla sponge cake, not too sweet either, perfect and refreshing! Their savoury menu is quite small, they had 4 sandwiches to choose from in their display case, when I arrived. I chose the ham and cheese. I was a little apprehensive with how much romaine there was on that sandwich and definitely confused why they gave me a side of relish with it but I decided to eat it as served. Oh man, I will be back for that sandwich!! The lettuce turned out to be the perfect amount to add a fresh element to the croissant sandwich, between the cheese, ham and buttery croissant, it needed that addition and the relish was an added cut through the otherwise richness of the ingredients. Today I learnt that I don't mind relish on ham and cheese sandwiches. Their coffee menu hosted some classics and some unique to their location, they also have house made 'ades (like lemonades) and I'll have to come back to try that, they looked delicious. I tried their iced toffee nut latte and really enjoyed it, the coffee wasn't bitter, it was very smooth and it wasn't too sweet, which was perfect because I always worry about that when syrups get involved. There is more on this menu that I need to try, I'll definitely be back!!

Went near closing time and ordered a green tea fog. Price point is fair and the drink was made quickly. The use of a tropical green tea was a bit surprising, but it was alright. Probably would have preferred a standard green tea instead. There is quite a bit of seating and the tables seem to be separated to accommodate for physical distancing. The decor and color scheme of the cafe is simple and muted, making it an easy choice to sit and have a cup of coffee or meet with a friend. The cafe also has a selection of baked goods. Will be coming back to try those in the future.

It is one of my favorite coffee shops in Coquitlam centre area. Very good coffee and pastries here. Like their sweet potato and strawberry cakes (recent visit that fruit cake replaced the strawberry cake, don't konw if this is temporary or permanent). Danishs and croissant are also very good. My son loves their cranberry sandwich rolls. The only down side is because it is located in the mall, many times we parked the car and came in and it was full. Then we had to get into our car and move to another place. Service is good but could be slow when there are many customers.

I used to come here every Saturday morning and have breakfast and coffee for two adults and children. One week, I ordered a waffle with maple syrup ($1 extra). After receiving my food and sitting at a table, I noticed I didn't get my maple syrup. I went up to the counter, but they were busy with the next customer. After waiting, I asked if I could get the maple syrup. They said they needed to check the POS to see if it was charged. They asked me to wait while they finished the next customer's food. So I returned to my seat and waited, but didn't hear anything back after a while. I had to go back up to the counter and ask again. They said I hadn't paid, so I had to pay when they realized they forgot to put in the order.

The very next week, I came here again and ordered a bread and coffee (small) combo. I brought my own mug, but when I got it back, it was only half full. It would have been nice if they had asked me if I wanted a full mug with an extra charge or something. Normally, when I bring my own mug, I get a discount at many different places! Instead I get half full coffee! Bakery is good but I would like to give my stars...

when you take a pre order for a cake, please remember what you take for each order. If it is for a birthday, it is for a birthday. You can't miss candles and a small happy birthday sign for a birthday cake. I know you can't put letters on a small sized cake, and That is not what I am talking about. The garnish on the cake, - please inform to any customer in advance those were eatable or not. The baker seems to have a good skill, though. The shop need to improve a few basic things to complement the baker's skill and if not, that is the owner's choice. I won't go back to a whole cake anymore,. I have had a whole cake from this shop 3 times. A croissant seems to be a big one with...
