Cup Full Dessert Cafe — Restaurant in Coquitlam

Cup Full is a little cafe tucked away in its own corner of the food court on the second floor of Henderson Place, a rather unassuming (almost derelict at times) mall that is actually full of surprisingly good eateries. It not only does a variety of coffees/drinks & Korean shaved ice, but also carries Soft Peaks ice cream + a small selection of desserts.

I ordered their small green tea bingsu for $5.95 & it was worth every penny. It was literally a "cup full" but keep in mind that you are only paying 1/2 or even 1/3 of what you would at Snowy Village/Passion 8 so it evens out. I think the portion was perfect for one! They use frozen milk instead of ice & you could definitely taste the quality of the matcha! The slight bitterness was balanced by the sweetness of the red bean that topped it & it came with bits of mochi + a delicious chunk of butter cake as well. I could have seriously eaten a whole thing of the cake alone! The coffee though was a bit disappointing for the price point as it came with a giant block of ice that really diluted the flavour... would try to ask for less next time?

So I have gone to this place 3 times and finally I’ve been able to get the shaved iced I’ve been wanting to try. Both other times I was there the machine was broken which was very unfortunate. Those times I got a coffee and the coffee was very delicious. The shaved ice was okay. I was a bit disappointed because I feel like there isn’t a Enough sauce or flavour in the cup. I obviously compared it to another local Coquitlam shaved ice place and I feel that you could taste the condensed milk better at the other place. This one was just very plain. Aswell they only had one guy working there making and taking all the orders. So the wait time takes awhile before you get either your coffee or dessert. They should maybe look into...

When I took the first sip, I immediately sensed an odd taste, completely different from what I had before—a distinct sour smell like rotting fruit. I still tried a few more sips, and the taste was awful, so I had to throw it away. If I hadn't tried the same thing before, I would have thought it naturally tasted this bad. Sure enough, I started having stomach pains later on. Please, next time, could you refrain from selling such stale drinks to customers? Customers aren't fools; the strange taste is...
