Starbucks — Restaurant in Coquitlam

Although I am not a local person, I do regularly come to this location when I am working in the area. This place is very clean and very prompt when it comes to their mobile ordering.

I do have to comment in with regards to the safety of their patrons. This morning, when I went to pick up my order, I saw that 1 out of 3 items were ready and my 2nd was being announced. A woman in her mid-late 30s came up to me, shoved me aside and grabbed my order claiming I have stolen her drink, and quickly ran out. I was in disbelief, and the reaction from the staff was a simple, "I'll get you another drink."

I noticed that the same woman was sitting outside of the Save on Foods next door to Starbucks. I had called Save on Foods to advise them of her action, and they advised to me that she is a regular assailant and is known to the police.

I'm not angry that my order was taken, but mostly concerned because I am 7 months pregnant. Regardless if the woman knew that or not, things could have escalated for the worse but I'm lucky that it didn't. If this woman was known in the area, the staff at Starbucks should have escorted her out immediately or refused her entrance and contacted the police.

Otherwise, I think the staff here are very nice, they keep the place well cleaned, and I've never had issues with my orders until this...

Super convenient location if you’re in the mall and needing a coffee. Customer service generally for the most part is great. However, I feel like they sometimes prepare the drinks in a rush especially when busy and it’s not often tasting right. For example, on my last visit, I did a mobile order for a iced caramel macchiato and it’s almond milk, light ice, extra caramel drizzle, and for my cup to be lined with caramel sauce. When I got my drink, it basically tasted like espresso and almond milk only… there was BARELY any drizzle and the cup hadn’t been lined with caramel sauce. When I went to ask the staff for extra drizzle and that I had that in my order, I got told that the drizzle melts pretty fast in drinks like these… I get this drink ALL THE TIME and have never had an issue nor have I been told the caramel sauce melted. Because clearly they don’t wanna take responsibility for not...

Don’t bother mobile ordering here, or order 50 mins ahead. Usually the mobile order is ready by the time I get there as I order quite ahead to pick it up on my way into work. I’d worked for the company for 4 years & know when mobile orders are skipped to appease the in store customers, so I am aware of these things lol. Empty cafe, literally two young gals waiting for drinks likely just ordered. I waited and the app said ready by this time, had waited a bit longer than said time, kindly asked if my mobile had come in, she slowly scrolled town the iPad then took even longer to make the drink. Wasn’t even made right. You can tell when it is not a ristretto shot & big shout out to the extra space given in the cup:D No point having mobile order just to avoid the whole point of it. Thank u for wasting my money on overpriced not so stellar...
