A&W Canada — Restaurant in Edmonton

I’ve gone to many different A&Ws, I've grown up with A&W. And I can say with 100% certainty that the Monday night crew for October 28, 2024 of A&W on Calgary Trail overnight are one of the many worst workers I’ve ever seen.

You had NO CARS coming into your drive through and absolutely no one inside, I am the first car and first customer to come through with a simple order:

Grandpa burger meal with cheese, onion rings and a regular sprite Mama burger meal, SWEET POTATO FRIES, and a regular coke 2 EXTRA SWEET POTATO FRIES AND 3 spicy chipotle mayo dipping sauce

Not only were the “regular” sweet potato fries not filled, they screw up my order giving me the wrong fries. I ordered 3 Sweet Potato fries and repeated that on the intercom not once but twice and yet they still screw up only giving me 2 and 1 regular fries that I did not even order.

It’s honestly disappointing to see how little care and effort for listening to a customer and giving proper service is nowadays. It’s unbelievable to have such incompetent workers who can’t get a simple order correct. Especially if you have no customers coming at all.

I respectfully do not recommend coming to this A&W after 10pm...

Usually very solid, depending on the location. I find their breakfast a superb deal when using coupons for dine-in. Toast might come out very light if you don't request it toasted more, and once it was overly buttered, but short of a few bad days, nothing but good things to say. Eggs are always cooked right, bacon, hash brown and breakfast sausage have good flavor.

Their special burgers are definitely superior to their regular menu items and they've made noticable strides in the last decade to improve on quality from fries to extras.

Juices, coffee and pop are about as good quality as you get for fast food and the staff are always pleasant. A&W is my preferred breakfast fast food choice for exactly these reasons. Skip Timmy's for this, and stay on your toes with McD's, they don't have the consistency as...

Ordered here at Drive-thru today and honesty the customer service was so bad and we were given the order with sweet potato fries half full which paid $4 each and no sauce was give with that as well as the beyond meat burgers that we asked for well done was actually not. When we called the store back and asked for a manager there was no manager on site and so the girl that helped us out confirmed that it was her and instead of an apology she argued with my fiancé and told us to drive back half hour in this cold weather just to get another order and she was super rude and when we asked for her name she did not give it to us. We have been to A&W multiple times and the service is usually good but however today was so disappointing. Please check your food before you leave...
