Had to come here after being disgusted by food at a "fine-dining" restaurant.
This place mostly filled me up but I couldn't finish it. I only wanted to know why it was so popular and I still don't know. I personally don't like cold food that much and I can't see why anyone would come here for that. $20 for an apple juice, and a bowl of some chicken, noodles, a little corn and a few pecks of pineapple.
That being said, I'll describe my feelings towards this. Because of the pineapple and corn not being even slightly cooked and the chicken being pulled from a steaming unit, as you eat the food, liquid begins to pool at the bottom of the bowl. It's a really gross feeling when you get to the point that the rest of the ingredients are under a liquid corn/pineapple/chicken mix and you're trying to chew through it. I ended up throwing the liquid mess out when about 1/4th of the ingredients were left.
The girl at the front was a big help explaining how it works. The mark would be lower if not for her.
The apple juice was Dole, everyone should've tried it at least once in their life by now if you can read this.
To sum it up; don't waste your time, ain't nothing special about this place. There's healthier places that cost less and there's cheaper places that taste better. I don't understand why Edmonton continues making seafood inspired restaurants when there's no ocean to pull the...
Read moreThe franchise itself is fine. This location needs to train staff to be courteous and patient. I visited and ordered a tropical bowl with some additions. The older women who was preparing the bowl was impatient and hard to understand. She did not clarify what proteins were included and poor knowledge of the recipe (having to double check and confirm). Because I could tell she was not sure what was included and there may have been a mistake with my order, I asked to see the breakdown of charges on the screen before I paid. The woman asked me to pay first then she would show me. I refused because the bowl was like $28! I wanted to see why. She got upset and hit a button on the cash register causing it to ring though and she had to seek assistance and get a second staff member to redo the transaction. Ridiculous! Just have patience and show the customer the costs. Turns out when you add protein to a bowl that already has two protein, you get charged for 3 protein and extra charge for it being Ahi tuna. Over priced for sure. Two customers behind me walked out witnessing this fiasco. And I took my bowl to go not wanting to eat in the empty location....

I recently visited Splash Poke on Calgary Trail, and it was such a refreshing experience! The moment I walked in, I was welcomed with a bright, clean space and friendly staff who were happy to guide me through the menu.
The quality of the ingredients really stood out — everything tasted fresh, vibrant, and full of flavor. I love that you can fully customize your bowl, from the base to the toppings, which makes it easy to create something that feels both healthy and satisfying. The portions are generous, and the variety of options means there’s truly something for everyone, whether you like it light and simple or bold and adventurous.
What I appreciated most was the balance Splash Poke strikes — it’s quick and convenient like fast food, but the quality feels like something you’d get at a sit-down restaurant. It’s a perfect spot for a healthy lunch, a light dinner, or even a quick pick-me-up when you’re on the go.
Overall, Splash Poke is a gem on Calgary Trail. It’s a place where you feel cared for, from the thoughtful service to the nourishing food. I’ll definitely be...
