My husband had been raving about Buco and was convinced I’d love it—and he was right! We needed to kill some time before the Oilers game, so we booked a reservation for 4:15 PM. We ended up arriving at 3:45 PM, but the staff had no issue seating us early, which was such a great start to our experience.
Our waitress was absolutely amazing (I wish I could remember her name!). She went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable, especially when my husband had to step away for an emergency call—several times. While I was sitting alone, she checked on me often, made small talk, and even helped me decide on which appetizers to order. Her thoughtfulness really stood out.
When my husband finally returned (briefly), she timed everything perfectly, holding off on placing our food order until he was seated again. It was like magic—our appetizers arrived the second he sat down! We tried the Italian sausage, mozzarella balls wrapped in prosciutto, and arancini rolls, and oh my goodness, they were all incredible.
For our main course, we shared the ribeye, and it was divine! Perfectly cooked, generously portioned, and that garlic dip? Absolute chef’s kiss. 👌
Buco exceeded all our expectations with their delicious food and top-tier service. I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for an unforgettable dining experience.
And for anyone wondering—no, I wasn’t mad at my husband for stepping away so much. If you’re a business owner, you’ll understand that emergencies happen!
Thank you, Buco, for turning what could’ve been a stressful evening into a...
Read moreMy friends and I made reservations to go here this past Friday night. They sat us in the lounge. There was an Oil Kings game that night, so it wasn’t too busy. The decor and ambience was cool. We knew to expect good food and service since it was part of the Sorrentino’s chain.
The food was good. Plating was beautiful. But all of that didn’t make it worth coming there for dinner based on the service we had. Our server Isabelle was abruptly rude to our table of 7. Anytime we asked for more water, extra sauce or napkins, there was a very obvious push back. She would say, “sure”. But her body language and facial expression showed us she didn’t want to do it. The entire night’s service was absolutely appalling. I asked another server to get our own server’s name, and she was also rude and chose to point to our server instead.
When she cleared our food from the appetizers, she took a bundle of knives and forks and just plopped it on the table! Who does this? Great service is when they individually reset our table setting for each of us to get another knife and fork. She didn’t bother pouring the water for each person either.
My recommendation- never go to this location with the service they provide. Last time I had this bad of a service was at Hundred downtown and they’re shut down now. I’ll be reposting this on Yelp...
Read moreUnfortunately I had a really bad experience here. The waitress was really nice. I'm celiac and I heard that this place has some good gluten free pizza. Which is actually true. The first pizza I ordered was amazing. They were out of the gluten free pasta so I decided to give another pizza a try. I can't pronounce the name of the pizza but it had truffle oil and honey on it I believe. I love truffle but they kinda soaked the pizza in it. It was over powering I only at like 2 slices and couldn't force myself to eat more. So I'm walking back hone about 45 minutes later and my stomach is really upset. I don't wanna give you much detail but it wasn't a good situation to put it very lightly. It definitely wasn't cross contamination with gluten as I'm not allergic I'm intolerant to gluten. I can have fries baked in the same fryer as something that can have gluten in it and so on. Plus if I do accidentally eat gluten i generally pay for it the next day so even if the pizza had been made with gluten I wouldn't have reacted like that. Unfortunately that kinda kills the experience for me for coming back. Which is definitely Unfortunately cause the first was tasty. I did call up the place. They were apologetic and offered reimbursement but to be honest a free pizza isn't really the equivalent of what happened...
