One01 Bistro (101私房菜) 港式西餐廳 — Restaurant in Edmonton

It's delightful to see revitalization in the Chinatown area! The area was declining for a while, but it's heartening to see business owners and the city investing in its recovery.

I decided to visit One01 Bistro, a charming spot near the Rogers Arena. It has ample free parking, a rare find in downtown. Upon entering, I was welcomed by a friendly hostess.

After perusing the menu, we chose several items. The service was quick, the food served hot, and bursting with flavor. The cuisine can best be described as a fusion of Asian dishes. The menu includes Ramen, Fried Rice, Stir Fried Beef Ho Fun (my personal favorite), and genuine Bubble tea, not that powdered stuff. Overall, it offers a good selection without being overwhelming like some Asian restaurants.

I appreciate local family-owned establishments like this. If I weren't working from home and was back in the downtown office, I'd visit this...

What a pleasant surprise to have finally checked out this new fusion restaurant downtown! Started off with cucumbers with wasabi sesame dressing, very refreshing and appetizing. Then a small Tom Yum soup with a cute slice of garlic bread, the flavour was done wth perfection, could tell the Chef really paid attention to details even in simple dishes. Although I’m no big fan of deep fried food, the deep fried shrimp was very tasty and crispy. The lunch combo: pineapple fried rice with beef, chicken & pork satays plus an avocado bubble tea drink was nicely presented. While the fried rice was ordinary, all were beyond expectation! Perfect gathering and meeting for the holiday seasons. I went there in November for with a group and we had a great experience. The Hong Kong style meats sizzling plate combo had a generous portion and very authentic flavours; tasted just like home! 🫰🏻Singapore noodle was on point 🤌 also saw the seasonal special lamb stew on IG; that hit the right spot with the weather changed, so good 😋. The restaurant was also nicely decorated and tasteful, especially the bathroom is clean and spacious but the fancy hand soap though 🤩 definitely would come back and try more items...
