TLDR: raw chicken and hair in food, but was reluctantly refunded, taste is average at best
I came here a while ago, and have been debating whether or not to post my review. I ordered some items for pick up, and took them home, as I took a bite it if the chicken balls I had ordered I felt so emerging somewhat slimey, I check to see what it was and it was pink chicken, I open up the other chicken balls and it’s the same, so I decide I can no longer eat, my partner had ordered kung pao chicken and found a thick dark hair (which belonged to neither of us) and I call the place explaining the situation and the lady on the phone tells me to bring the food and am offered a refund. As I arrive to the place and show her what she had given me she says it’s not raw despite it clearly being pink slimey chicken (which is odd because in my experience the chicken is usually precooked before being fried) but she keeps trying to deny it. Eventually she says she’ll give me a refund but oddly enough the same card I used was not accepted by the machine, and we try several times but it does not work, eventually she grumpily gives me my refund in small bills. I feel that for the negative experience of finding a hair and having raw chicken the least she could have done was refund the sodas but nope. Anyways I don’t wish them ill, and I hope their business prospers but they should improve their customer service and ensure their food is fully cooked (especially when dealing with chicken) because taste wise their food was average and a good addition to whyte...
Read morePopped in here with the kiddo for a to go order after a round of 18 holes.
Diverse menu with lots of combo options.
Oddly when you order at the counter you aren’t eligible for the 10% off cash pickup offer. So we changed it up to stay in to at least enjoy a couple bites fresh.
We did the dinner for 2 which came with fried rice, veggie spring rolls, won ton soup and 2 choices - we picked dry spicy chicken and broccoli beef.
We also ordered 2 teas - a blueberry lime and passion fruit.
The food was fresh, tasty, and not the least bit greasy.
The won ton soup was pretty bland - a very basic broth with 3 won tons. The veggie spring rolls were a nice bonus though I’d much rather order meat spring rolls.
We loved the beef and broccoli as well as the fry spicy chicken - the heat was authentic from the chopped up chilis and totally grew. The fried rice had a nice variety of veg and a decent amount of chicken. We both LOVED our teas - not too sweet!
I give this place 2 Thumbs Up - especially because it’s open late until midnight! Though be smarter than me and phone in your order to get the 10% discount rather than ordering at the counter. However it was nice to change our order up to eat in and the takeaway containers were good quality.
We will most...
Read moreFinished a late Floor Hockey game on Monday June 12th and was craving Chinese Food. Trying to find a place that was open until 10pm was hard but Google helped me locate this place on Whyte Ave. Found parking out front and walked on in. Place is small, has just 10 seats. One table will fit three people whereas the rest are at the bar. Rang the bell and ordered a Dinner for 1A costing $16.75 consisting of Chicken Chop Suey, Chicken Fried Rice, Sweet & Sour Ribs and Deep Fried Shrimp plus an order of Green Onion Cake. Owner asked that I pay him after which worked for me as I was staying to eat there. While I waited for my food, four drivers showed up to pick up orders. Saw lots of people looking inside and two young men joined me inside and some girls later on. My Green Onion Cake showed up super hot and fresh and super good. It was just right and ai could have eaten two more. Less then 7 minutes later my meal was delivered to me at my seat. It was AMAZING!!! From all the delivery pick ups I can see why this place is popular and I look forward to trying more...
