Verano Food Purveyors — Restaurant in Halifax

This place is a hidden gem in Halifax!! My husband and I came into this family owned and operated eatery for breakfast and were overwhelmed by the quality and superior taste of the food. The menu is Venezuelan inspired which we had never sampled before. We were so glad we did. Graziano was very friendly and gracious with the service and his son-in-law a masterful cook. Try the Buenos Dias Tacos or the B & C Grilled Breakfast Sandwich. We returned a few days later before leaving Halifax and ordered their patacon and empanada for lunch to go. They packaged everything up separately for us as we weren't consuming it until a few hours later. Again, the food was amazingly delicious!! With a lot of enthusiasm, I ordered online and came to pick up today. The process of ordering online and picking up was smooth and timely. The dishes were packed neatly in branded plastic boxes, through which the food looked amazing. You can definitely notice the authenticity of the flavors, However, I had only two issues with the: De Patacon was incredible, but very hard to hold in my hands. Everything inside fell apart, and they had to eat the amazing ingredients separately. The beef empanada, although crispy, it is still deep-fried in the corn dill flavor, overpowers the taste of watching Side. The food is always great and the owner is always friendly and welcoming. I've been here a few times and around to a lot of Halifax's latin restaurants, and by far it's my top 3. There tacos are to die for the meat is always fresh and delicious. There Cuban Sandwiches a bit crunchy but over all a very amazing dish, and the little salad that was served with it so packed with flavor! I always struggle to find parking near by but if you turn left right after passing the restuarant there is a parking lot right in front of those lights. Parking was only $1.30 for the half hour !
