I’ve been reluctant to leave a review here because I am happy to see a vegan bakery in Kelowna and feel bad leaving a bad review. However, on that note I just don’t think the baked goods here are very good and felt like leaving a review, in the hopes they improve and bring better options.
I’ve tried vegan/gluten-free bakeries all over the world and the four treats I’ve tried from here were just nothing that I could see myself purchasing again. I thought I was being too harsh, but after trying a vegan bakery in Lake country recently, I realized that these treats just need to be...
Read moreThis is a very small bakery, the only offer sweet treats and bags of flour mixes. None of the treats were labeled and I felt bad for the poor staff person having to list them all off. I purchased 3 cookies at $4.75 each. The regular chocolate chip, the lavender sugar cookie, and the earl grey sugar cookie. The only one worth eating was the regular chocolate chip cookie, it had a nice crumb, decent flavour, could have used more chips but a solid 3.5/5. The other two were gross. They were dry, kind of doughy in texture. They were not sweet enough to be called a sugar cookie, and they were too cakey to be called a shortbread. The texture was so strange I regretted buying them. Perhaps these cookies should have been labeled as "low sugar" or "experimental"? There are so many tasty gluten free vegan bakeries out there, BFL needs to up their game because 1/3 is not a good...
