Marmalade Cat Cafe Downtown — Restaurant in Kelowna

Online ordering through Cafe website does not work and staff were unaware of my fully-paid order when I arrived to pick it up. Although they were apologetic, did not seem too concerned that their system is faulty.

As for the food, it was just OK. I had a breakfast bagel, which was advertised as multigrain on the menu, but in reality was plain white and remarkably similar to a Dempsters bagel from the grocery store. I had asked for no butter as one of the available preferences from ill-fated online order system, but was advised this was not possible as the sandwich was pre-made. The bacon on the sammy was good but it and the egg were lukewarm.

At the time, I didn't think accepting a DoorDash order from here could hurt so bad but it did. When I arrived I overheard a girl behind the counter saying that the croissant was missing and they'd have to let the customer know. Well, I delivered the coffee without the croissant. Two hours later I get a call from dash asking why I stole the croissant. My profits have since dropped from 35 an hour as a top dasher to 15 an hour and I now have to take photos of every order. It's a very good thing that my personal business took off or you'd have put a new dad out of work. What a lazy, narcissistic, and snobby...

I order the pesto chicken panini, two other orders were filled and delivered to customers before mine was. That’s ok good food takes a few minutes, order finally arrives and it is lacking any kind of pesto flavour, after adding some salt and pepper this helped a bit. Upon opening the sandwich up I discovered artichoke, this wasn’t mentioned on the menu board at all. I tried to eat the chicken by itself but it just didn’t taste right. Needless to say my stomach has not been good all afternoon! Word of mouth goes a long way! The quality of your food has declined greatly in the past...
