Ordered food in the late afternoon Raptor's won the championship. Food was supposed to arrive at a specific time but, when 40 minutes passed by the delivery time I called the restaurant, very hard time getting through. I had to try calling back at least 15 to 20 times before someone answered. The manager answered and I proceeded to tell him the problem, he said there was terrible traffic and that the drivers could not get back to the store to pick up orders. I asked him why are they not calling customers to inform them that their orders were coming extremely late? He did not really answer me, just kept apologizing to me for the situation. I told him I am in the customer service business so I understand but, you need to let customers know the situation. I asked him if he could look into where our order is, he investigated and advised me the order had not left the restaurant, it had been sitting under the heating lamps for a long time. At that point I started to get frustrated with him and said that its ridiculous, a food order that was supposed to be delivered now at that point almost an hour before which in total my family was waiting almost 2 hours was still at the restaurant! He kept saying he was sorry and the only thing he advised is I can still wait around another 40 minutes, or he can cancel the order, I opted to cancel. Not even 10 minutes after I hung up with the manager, a delivery guy shows up at our door with the food, the food that was apparently at the restaurant under heat lamps? I told the driver to wait as I need to call the location because I had already ordered something else for our dinner, and if we take this there has to be a discount. On top of all this, I ordered a 6 pack of assorted pops, they forgot to give the driver them, so, no pops with a food order that " apparently was still under heat lamps". I tried to get through to the manager and that wasn't happening as it kept going to an answering machine advising customers to keep trying to call back. I asked the driver if he could reach the manager and he did on his cell phone. When speaking to the manager, I told him that the order he thought was under the lamps wasn't even ours, and not only that but they forgot the 6 pops. In total, he offered me in total a 10.00 discount after taking the pops off, and wait! There is still a delivery fee so really was around 6.50 for the trouble we went through. The food, was like warm, garlic bread was soggy. All around, this is disappointing as I have ordered from Boston Pizza for many MANY years both in British Columbia and here in Ontario and have never experienced such poor customer service and late food orders like we had. Read moreI will not eat here again. We had a family dinner here for five people and the service was terrible. The server was busy with another party and they forgot to bring a drink for one of my kids and she already had food sitting at the table. When we need ketchup, we had to ask the front door person for help. We then waited another 15 minutes for a water top up. At the end of dinner we asked for containers to pack the our food. The server said he would pack for us. The sever came back with the bill, so I paid. I did not realize until I was driving on the highway home that the food was missing. I thought my wife had collected it. My wife called the restaurant to speak with the server to see what happened. He said he was sorry left the food in the warmer we could come back for it. We explained that were already 20 minutes away. He just said sorry. My wife got off the phone thinking wow what just happened. I called back to speak with server to see if there was anything they could do. Instead, the manager took the call. I asked he what he could do. He said he would deliver it. When we told him where we live he said we would have to come back to get it. The food will be in the food warmer. I was shocked. First, he would deliver but now no delivery. I told him that was unfair and what could he do do about this. He said he could nothing about it. He was unapologetic and very argumentative. I asked for his name and he spelled it out for me and hung up the phone. Wow! I gave a 18% tip because I believe the servers should still get tips even if the service is not great. They still need to eat too! I can't believe that an organization of this size is still not training their managers to deal with customer complaints. If they are, this was an absolute fail and I will be taking my business elsewhere if Boston pizza does not want it.
