I've been going to Haze in Mississauga for a very long time but first time writing a review. It is our first choice for upscale Halal food and shisha. Although I had a not so great experience while trying to make a reservation. I called to book for a group, I was told that I'd have to deposit a $40 per person charge if I have a group of 6, that will be settled in the bill. I mean why do that? I was told I could come in as walk in and may need to wait 45 minutes or more depending on availability on Friday evening. It kinda threw me off and at one point I did decide to go somewhere else. I mean this is unnecessary and this place can have a no reservation policy which is fine but not like this. Anyways, I still ended up going, group of 4. We reached around 7:10pm and there was plenty of seating available. We were seated right away. Our server Kiran was efficient, kind and courteous. There was also another person whose name I missed, I did convey my grievance to him and he was kind to explain why which again was not convincing but he tried and apologized. We ordered Chipotle Jalapeño poppers and Cajun fried shrimps. Poppers were bomb, shrimps were crispy. For mains we ordered Filet Mignon which was tender and juicy, with a side of Caesar salad, which was zesty and fresh, Beef shawarma platter, which was huge, and full of flavor, Newyork Striploin 8oz which was soft and perfect, and sizzling spicy beef short ribs, soft and tender, bursting with finger licking flavors. For dessert we ordered Sticky toffee cake which was kinda mid, had more sponge than dates or the caramel syrup. For drinks we had Mangonada which was amazing and filling on its own, spicy, tangy and the tamarind straw just added a kick to it. Kinda heavy I must say. Pina colada was on point and so was Limonana. Shisha was lemon mint+lime lit which was subtle. Our server constantly checked on us if we needed anything else, though there was no one to freshen up the shisha, until we actually asked. All in all great experience. I've given 5 star despite my reservations because the service has been consistent and the staff is really nice. By the time we left, there was lots of people waiting. Again, I'd sincerely suggest management to reconsider the deposit policy on...
Read moreI visited Haze once again two weeks ago with friends after dining there a few times. We had gone together before and had a positive experience. Also, it was one of the few places open late on a weekday with the new limitations and we were happy to go. While dine in was open, we decided to sit on the patio given the sheer amount of smoke inside and us not wanting that level of exposure.
In terms of the food, I decided to try a Strawberry Margarita this time around. However upon serving the drink the waitress asked to let her know if it was too salty for my liking. After having a few sips, I realized it was excessively salty and she happily switched it to a Red daiquiri for me. My friend had ordered a Pina Colada which was also far too watery and lacked the right consistency.
Having previously tried the Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich, I decided to opt for something different. However, I wish I hadn’t. The Portobello chicken was fairly bland itself and the mashed potatoes were absolutely tasteless. The entire meal was served in a soup of grossly salty gravy as if too compensate for the lack of flavour in the chicken and the potatoes.
The only aspect of the meal that I enjoyed was the service. My drink spilled into my plate and the waitress was kind enough to have a new one prepared for me. However, neither my friends nor I enjoyed the food as much during this time around.
Our visit this time unfortunately was lack lustre, in the future I would stick to the classic chicken burger and a red daiquiri. I hope that Haze will continue to improve their flavours and refine their...

I was having a pretty good time so I didn’t really bother with the usual service time sorry guys. The place was also pretty empty because of the time I went so it wouldn’t be a fair review for service speed. However I called ahead, the 4-5 times I went there I’ve been trying to get the booths and haven’t had success one of the hardest things to get.
aesthetics: The place is clean as far as I can tell but the seats are pretty warped and needs to be change because I think these are the original since the place as opened.
Server: Was friendly , knowledgeable and was able to pronounce all the items on the menu properly in their native languages as per the dish. Took his time, didn’t interrupt, helped with options and hookah flavours. We almost mad a bad choice. He was 5 out of 5 and executed his job perfectly. They should offer to start the shisha for you that’s the only thing but he knew I’ve been there before so no harm no foul.
Food: absolutely amazing, definitely would recommend everything in the menu there especially the truffle pizza. I had some steak, salads, yam fries, fruity drink.
experience: I make it fun where ever I go but this place is pretty good definitely one of the premiere lounges in Mississauga and definitely top 15 in the gta.
Improvements:
more private booths or pay to hold for 20-30 minutes system replace seating of chairs washroom overhaul
Side note: Remember that they don’t...
