Five Guys — Restaurant in Mississauga

TLDR : Not the best five guys but the quality of the food has almost always been consistent, warm service, the speed of speed can be better

Have been to this place quite a few times for me to review the same. Have tried the burgers, the hotdogs & solo patties. I wouldn’t claim it’s The best Five Guys I have been to in Ontario, but what makes me happy about the place is the consistency in the food they deliver. The burgers & fries have almost always been the same.

The speed of service can definitely improve and I’m sure a lot of them folks can be pissed about it. But I wouldn’t call it awful.

I recently visited Five Guys on Mavis Rd in Mississauga, and while the food was solid as expected, the overall experience had some downsides.

The burgers and fries were fresh and tasty, which is what Five Guys is known for, so no complaints there. However, the service was underwhelming. The staff seemed unprepared to answer even basic questions about the menu, which was frustrating. It felt like they were just going through the motions rather than being engaged with customers.

Another big issue was the acoustics. With tile floors and cement walls, the noise level was overwhelming. Conversations echoed throughout the space, making it difficult to talk without raising your voice. The atmosphere felt more chaotic than comfortable.

Overall, while the food met expectations, the service and ambiance left a lot to be desired. If you're grabbing a quick meal and don’t mind the noise, it’s fine—but if you’re looking for a relaxed dining experience, this location might not be the...

The staff at this location were polite, and when the order was done right, the food was great. A couple of the line cooks here don't know how to read the print-out and hence messed up the order 3 times. Had to re-do a couple of the burgers twice. A HB came back as a cheeseburger, and one burger was missing the meat patties! Never seen this anywhere. Not going back to this location, sadly. Service above product will always rule the day.

Advice to owner operator: There was no manager on the floor to lead the team and see to customer complaints. The excuse I received was that a worker was from another store. If they were from a shoe store I see the problem, but if its from another FG's location it's the same system! No excuse! Your staff looked like family, hence don't fear job insecurity.
