Good food and great accessible location nearby metro Peel. The servers came very often to check on us and changed the water when they noticed it was empty. I'll definitely come back again! We arrived at 6PM and it was relatively empty with many tables available, however the restaurant was full at 8PM when we left. I recommend you make a reservation. Tonkatsu: 4/5 Fried chicken soy & garlic: I wish it had a stronger garlic flavour but nonetheless it was delicious 5/5 Budaejigae: 5/5 very good, big porton which can be shared by 2 people, along with an entrée. Not on the photos was the litchi soju cocktail which was really good! 5/5

Unfortunately they double booked us and had to wait a little over an hour for a table. It was Friday night -30 outside we didn’t feel like looking for another place to go to. We were able to drink while waiting and were offered free shots. Vibes were overall great and staff were friendly and obviously felt bad they couldn’t seat us. The fried chicken, tteokbokki and creamy garlic fries were delicious. I looked forward to the creamy seafood pasta however it wasn’t creamy at all - it was watery and bland. Our experience was average, however this place has a lot of potential so I would still try coming back after their grand opening.

We found bar1994 on instagram with nice photos of the restaurant and food. But in reality we got a bad experience. Food was average and expensive. Rosé teokbukki sauce was not even legit. We smell cigarettes and weed which we were not expected. The server dropped at least 3 times the plates and bowls while cleaning the tables in less than an hour. Btw, the tipping is not mandatory by law but by agreement, we will be happily to tip at least 15% if it's written in the menu or be well aware. In case we have no idea about the tipping policy and we are not happy about the service, we don't want to pay extra tipping for a bad service. Not worth the price, bad experience, we ended up quitting the place and had food somewhere else.

#Edit 1: After getting the answer from the owner, I want to confirm this is not a fake review. Many other people leave bad comments, one got food poisoning. The owner's reply is not friendly and not constructive. This is not because of the tips problem, we are down to tips 20% if the service was good and worth it. I tried so many other good korean restaurants in Montreal, and as a person who really like korean food, this is not the place where you can find a good food. Ganadara is the same vibes and 100% better. Good food nice service. We came here just for an experience and never came back again. Yet again, I've been living in Montreal for so long to know about the rules. No need to mention that "in Quebec'' when the servers can poorly...

Chose this bar for my birthday and called twice to make sure everything would go well. The first time I asked about the menu and how for a group of 12 we would pay and order. I was told that everyone could order a la carte, there was no groupe menu and they could pay as per usual. The service goes well then we get told that the items can't be separated each their own and everything got mixed up. With much trouble we solve it by splitting the bill or so. Then we get to the cake, and barely had the time to eat because at 23:45 we get told you guys have 15min were closing... the ggl map clearly said the closing time is 2am. At no time, either during the 2 phone calls do they warn me about the time. They could've at least told us a bit before so that we could've brought the cake out earlier and not rush to swallow it and leave. At no point would I have chosen a bar that close a 00:00... anyways so after getting rushed out, I realized that they kept my lighters and my candles and 12 sparkles.... way to...

Overall experience: good/positive.

Portions to price is amazing. You get to try so many items in the menu and re-order your favorite dishes and your bill will end up reasonable.

The menu is different is diverse, if you want to try new stuff this is the place to go. The beef bulgogi and cheese corn was our favorites.

Only downside was some dishes (not all) we're not super warm, might of been me, but I feel like serving fresh out the pan/oven/fryer ensures the best experience.

No complains on the service, waiters seem to be learning since it's still a soft open.

A lot of potential for this place! I think they are still missing something, which is normal since they are in soft opening and probably testing the waters for now.

Food and service is great. I recommend this place to anyone wanting to try typical...
