It took me 40 minutes to get my lunch order, which is just a poutine with chicken in it. Also, when I raised my delay problem to one of their cashiers, she kept trying to get out of the conversation before I finished telling her how long I had been waiting even though nobody was waiting in line for her to serve, as if she's more important than the customer. It's like she didn't care. She seemed from France. I've observed that all workers from France in general act like they're more important than the customer (a bar near my home fired one of them for that reason). It's not only their fault though. It's the fault of the business who hires them in the first place without ensuring they treat everyone equally while differing to the customer as being the driving force behind the business. Another cashier asked me my name 3 times whenever I asked her about my order even though I was holding my phone with my order number and name. I wasn't sure if she was doing so because she's too stupid or because she was trying to mess around with me. Towards the end, when my order came out, but apparently sat somewhere without them announcing it, the cashier asked me my name one more time (terrible service as good waiters/cashiers remember the customer standing in front of them) and then although I spoke to her in English 3 times before, she made the fatal mistake that only bad waiters make and changed the language on me even though I was speaking in English. That sealed the deal for giving them a bad review. Good waiters always remember the customer's language and reply in it, and people who come here from France but aren't willing to respect anglophone Canadians even though the English UK owns Canada (including Quebec) oughta leave Canada and get back to where they came from. They're not welcome here no matter what anyone...
Read moreWow it was an amazing experience each time I visited this wonderful little place, and the entire atmosphere was very welcoming with great lounge/chillout music playing in the background and a good working WiFi, and a pleasant crew. Of all the places I visited in Montreal this was my favorite, and the food was excellent as well, and the first time I had their breaded chicken sandwich and it was delightful, and I compare it to the chicken sandwich at Wendy’s in the U.S. but better (Wendy’s in the U.S. makes a very good chicken sandwich!). The sautéed jalapeños gave it a nice little spicy kick, and the Swiss cheese was an excellent addition, making it one of the best chicken sandwiches in Montreal, and they also have the best seasoned rice, which is better than the rice at St-Hubert.
The club sandwiches were well-stuffed, and one of my favorite items on the menu is the Hot Chicken, served with their own special sauce, and I dipped my fries in this as well, and I was very pleased with my visits there!
I’m back home in Florida now, and I will miss Benny&Co most of all, and it’ll be the first place I’ll go to when I’m in...
Read moreThis popped up on google suggested casual lunch spots in downtown montreal. Kid saw chicken and ribs and was sold. I am more hesitant to go somewhere under 4.2* but I won’t knock a place till I try it. The reviews said the service is slow but I came on a Wednesday afternoon. We were sat quickly and they gave us French menus and water. Luckily I googled ahead of time and knew exactly what we wanted.
I did not expect the fries to be good and I was correct with that assumption. The ribs were fall off the bone but the bbq sauce was sweeter than I like. Dallas BBQ would slay in Montreal. The chicken was tender and crispy but bland. The onion rings were the star of the show. Crispy, not super oily, tasty. $65CAD for all including a pepsi. Tip separate. It was fine. Entrees came with cole slaw. I prefer KFC’s. Took a few bites and put it to the side. Service was good and there were no hiccups. The...
