Loved this place: the food, the place, the waiter. This place is located in the old port and opened about 1 year ago even less. They have a big wine menu. They have a brunch/lunch and supper menu. We went there for supper we had the flecon special which was so good, the fish was well cooked and all the ingredients were so good together, the sauce and all, the perfect combination We also got the duck and it was so tender, it was amazing. The oysters were fresh We got the peach crumble as dessert but it wasn't good at all, it was a load of whipped cream on top, even tho it seemed homemade there was this weird taste to it and also the peaches were not really ripped. I would not get that when I return Overall this place is good for food and drinks, especially if you are a wine lover. I would just skip the dessert for next time. This place has this comfy vibe with couches and pillows. Definitely a cute place to go with small groups. I definitely recommend to try this place at least once

I wanted to go there for quite a while so maybe that's why I was a bit disappointed. We were a group of 5. Worth a try but I wouldn't go back. The place is stunning and the mood was really nice. Nothing bad to say on that part. It's more expensive than most other great Buvettes in Montreal but that was to be expected because of their location (Old Port). Food was tasty although small in portions. The burrata was delicious, a must. Their cocktails were pretty good too! For us the big let down was the lack of knowledge and service around the wine. I'm used to having people know their wine products properly, especially if you call yourself a Buvette. So all in all, if the place wasn't called a Buvette I'd give it a 4 star since most things were pretty good but I don't want someone else to think they will have a nice wine tasting experience.

*WORST COSTUMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE* We went to this restaurant as a group for a Birthday. Prices were already decided before we went there. $45.00 for the food / person and $55.00 / person for the mimosa as much at we want. The waitress (supposedly a manager ) charged us more expensive prices. We ended up with an receipt of $324.37 for 2 people for a brunch which is ridiculous and we tipped her 18% on the wrong price. She had to do more than 12 different invoices and didn't notice that the prices weren't correct. I guess she thought we wouldn't notice. I do not recommend going to this restaurant, she tarnished the image of this place and will NEVER go back there. Will not encourage a place that tries to steal from customers.

I am posting this review to inform of the most horrendous and unprofessional service I have ever received at a restaurant. The event was for a birthday party. I will list all events that occurred over the night in bullet form.

Upon arrival no tables were prepared. Party of 14. Booked over a month ago Restaurant informed someone from our group that they called her the day before to inform food wasn’t going to be available. 2 issues with this: you don’t call a day before to inform a major modification and no call was received on their phone There was an ongoing payment terminal issue with the restaurant’s payment systems - which resulted in a payment delay of 30 minutes The demeanor, attitude, and the way the 2 waitresses conducted themselves was completely unprofessional and simply pathetic Signs of impatience, extremely rude to myself and the other people of our group The cocktails ordered were wrong My bill had an extra drink on it that was not ordered No water glasses were served The waitress informed us when we arrived that we needed to leave the restaurant at 10:50pm however the restaurant states closing hours were at 11:30pm online and when I confronted them about it, they denied ever saying that. A group of 5 people walked in at 10:16pm and were kicked out by one of the waitresses – pretty sad for a restaurant to kick a group out that will bring them sales – 1hr14 min before closing time They informed us we could not order food however a man was sitting at the bar was eating a meal after they had told us that. It appears this man was given preference as he may have been a partner/friend of one of the waitresses. The waitress with the dark brown hair should not work in the hospitality business – she was the one with the bad attitude right from the beginning The waitress with blonde hair had the audacity to go up to one of the people in our group and inform them that 2 people did not tip…boggles my mind how they were thinking they were going to get any tip. The total of everything we ordered was approximately $200-$250. This total amount could have been near $1000 if food was served, drinks were made well, and proper service which would have resulted in much more tips. These 2 waitresses forfeited the restaurant around $500-650 in sales.. This was the first time I did not tip as I did not think service could be this bad. Tipping is for service, the service provided merits no tip. A follow-up email and call will be made to this restaurant if this review goes unaddressed as these 2 waitresses should be terminated immediately.

To the person responsible for attending to these customer reviews, please feel free to reply to the review and provide me your contact information. I’ll be delighted to discuss this over the phone and aid in the recourse of this major issue as no one should ever have to go through what my group and I experienced on Friday night, April 29, 2022 at Buvette Pastek in Montreal, QC.

Do not reply to this review stating “it’s okay, it’s going to be fine”. Own up to your mistakes and take accountability for what occurred. Making the necessary adjustments to your staff will be paramount to the success of your restaurant. Only posting 1 star as that is the minimum to post a review or else it would...

Unacceptable service received by their staff for my birthday party on Friday night. Upon arrival nothing was prepared. My friends and I were pushing tables together, because nothing was set up for us despite having reserved for this night a month in advance. Shortly after we were told that we couldn’t order food, despite the fact that a few tables near us ordered and received their food all while we were there. We were also advised right away that we would need to leave at 10:50 even though their google hours say 11:30. We were very rushed and misinformed which evidently created a very rushed feeling the entire night. The service was absolutely unacceptable. We were served no glasses for the water, drinks were only ordered by the waitress 30 minutes before we needed to leave because their waitress took forever to come. The overall demeanour of the waitresses were very rude and impatient leaving all of us to all feel like a bother to them. When it was time to pay, the waitress made a few mistakes with the bills and pulled the bill right out of our hand in an aggressive and impatient manner when we advised her that she had made a mistake. She also rudely confronted one of my guests and told her that two people in the party didn’t tip. Which to be honest, I don’t blame them. The service was horrendous, and tipping is for service.

All to say, our group was very disappointed considering how excited we were to try this restaurant.

I hope for no one to be treated the way we were on a day that was meant to be celebrated...
