Café Bistro — Restaurant in Montreal

I do not recommend going here.

Everything is absolutely overpriced, and they charge an extra if you pay by card for amounts under 10$ (which doesn't happen often...).

I also took the time to notify them I had a severe allergy to confirm that what I was buying was safe. 10 min latter I had to pop down 2 benadryls just to breathe.

About a week after that lovely incidence, I ordered a bagel with cream cheese because I had not had time to bring breakfast. The cream cheese had gone bad.

The pastries on the counter need to inspected thoroughly before you buy them, because often times you'll find a little bit of mold.

There cakes are out so long, that they are dry. I can guarantee you that.

Just horrible service, very ordinary food, overpriced, dry, moldy, and too lazy to look if the element your deadly allergic too, is...

We didn't get anything to eat here. We had been walking a bunch and needed a break for drinks and the bathroom. You'll need to get a code for the bathroom from an employee when you make a purchase. All credit card purchases have to be over a certain amount. I don't recall if it's $3 or $5. But, we made the minimum with one bottled water and a can of Coke. I have never tried mocha before but my friends kind of forced me to do it and boy I’m glad they did. The service here was great and the mocha was even better. I recommend it to anyone who’s in the area.
