The first time that I went to pitarifique, was because I was with my friends who were going to pitarifique. I thought when I entered that we would get pitas. But boy was I ever wrong! So we walked in, and there was a line, and that how I knew it was good. Everyone I was with, ordered a burger! I thought was interesting for a place called pitarifique. But, I went ahead and ordered the burger too.
And boy was I right to make the decision that I made, on that day! And then, the next time that I went there, I got a double burger!
A lot of people get cheese or bacon on a burger, but I always feel like that's a bit of a rip off! I mean, two dollars for a bit of bacon? No thank you! But at Pitarifique, they'll give you a whole other patty for an extra two dollars!
One of my favourite parts about this restaurant is that beer is weirdly cheap. I think it's $3.95 for a pint of beer, which feels strange, because it's essentially a fast food joint. But who am I to complain? I know that me and my friends all enjoy this restaurant, and I think that maybe you will too!
And hey, if you end up there, tell me how the pita is would'ja? Because I've only...
Read moreDiscovered this place when “Patati Patata Friterie de Luxe” was packed to the brim (our second time), and we actually noticed a lot of people crossing the street to this place when they realised Patati was full. We’re so glad to have tried this place. The restaurant is also just as busy with customers coming and going non-stop. Service is prompt and we really enjoyed Special 2 (CAD 14.95 before tax), it’s two pita wraps (mixed meat of beef/pork and lamb) with a generous portion of fries and a drink. Because we were so happy with this, we got Special 1 (CAD 12.95 before tax) which is 2 hamburgers with fries and a drink but realised the burger is so-so, I would definitely recommend their pitas. Not a fan of their fries though, quite oily and burnt, but I guess it’s just the way fries are here, poutine...
Read moreMy buddy took me to this place, said his friend owns it. Didn't really think about it much, thought it's just another corner joint. Took me by surprise for food quality. I know some people are very critical for the small things like salad, but honestly one of the best gyros I've had. George the owner is super nice, and has been doing this for life. The fries as well are delicious. Not greasy at all. If you're in the area I highly recommend you stop and have a pita gyro authentic of course, and put hot peppers in there. I know you'll go...
