While strolling home one day, I discovered this place and later returned with my partner to experience it. We began our meal with hot chocolate, which was delightful and at the perfect temperature. The food was truly delicious, and the portion sizes were just right. Although I wasn't particularly fond of the generous amount of cheese on my dish, the Countryside Duo, everything else was excellent. The service was prompt and very friendly. I would have appreciated a bit more water, as we finished our bottle quickly and didn't receive any refills after our food arrived. The food was seasoned with salt, which isn't a complaint, but it did leave us feeling quite thirsty. I certainly plan to return, as the pricing seems quite reasonable.

First visit to this location in August 2025. I had the spring chicken salad, others had the eggs for brunch and the ribs. The salad was delicious and so was the chicken. The ribs were delicious and tender. The eggs were ok. They offered us smoothie shooters to try their mango smoothie and it was delicious too. The location is big and well decorated. Our waiter, Lim, was amazing, very helpful, offered to fill out water jugs and was fun to talk to. Pricing is a bit high but that is location driven. Gave it 4 stars because the eggs weren't the best and they have a limited menu even for lunch. Their dinner menu is much larger.

Overall a good experience. Food is solid but not otherworldly. Our main was probably worth a 4 stars but definitly not the appetizer nor the dessert or cocktail. Taking the expensive prices into account, the food rating stays at a 3 stars in my opinion. Service was good but a little too much intruding in my opinion. I know it's commonly done in Canada but no need to ask if the food is good after serving every dish: no one is ever going to say no even if they don't like it and it just interupts the conversation. This was done too much here that I had to write about it. Best part was the atmosphere and decor. Beautifully done!

We went to cochon dingue after seeing a movie on a quiet Thursday night. It was after 9pm.

The good: The location is convenient. The resto itself looks really nice! Feels upscale yet casual / family friendly. Comfortable quality chairs. The service was also very professional. They have raving reviews so they are obviously doing something right.

The bad: We ordered the tartare duo (beef and salmon) and the fried chicken plate to share.

Both tartares had an emulsion looking white film on them. The meat pieces were stringy and so the texture was definitely off.

  • The worst part (for me) was the overuse of oregano flakes. It was everywhere and it was all you could taste. It was even covering the (kinda stale, if I’m honest) toast. It was so overwhelming that 1 week later I feel like I can still taste it and it’s kinda turned me off of that herb for a while. Really off putting. The fries were also cold.

The fried chicken was mid. Overcooked on the outside and undercook on the inside. Just want to clarify that it was not raw, just kinda tough, as if it had not been brined prior to cooking.

Maybe we came on an off night, but over all we didn’t like the 2...

There are already 6 chain restaurants in Quebec City and this is the first to open in Montreal. What a wonderful addition to the downtown east neighbourhood! It’s getting tougher and tougher to eat out and not spend hundreds of dollars, short of scarfing down fast food. This restaurant hits the spot. It is well located and aesthetically designed – bright and spacious, with room to walk and breathe. The ceilings are whimsically draped with miniature white “cochons”. The plush leather seats are very comfortable. The menu is easy to read and offers omelettes and crêpes for brunch, or burgers and salads for lunch. We tried the omelette du Lac St-Jean (it comes with potatoes and toast) and the beef burger with fries and coleslaw; both were delicious, notwithstanding the applesauce “confiture”. (Be advised that if you’re set on the breakfast menu, you must order before 11 am.) The servers are very young, but friendly and eager to please. Lunch for two came to 60-odd dollars after tax and tip. All in all, a satisfying meal and one that merits a...

Porc in absolutely everything anything else that is not porc is disgusting. the fish tartare is unedible, i wanted to throw up portion it had a weird smell, sizes are to differ but they aren’t very wow also the servers are doing whatever they please we have to really call for them, they leave mid conversation half of the food is filled with bullshit salad to make it seem bigger the drinks taste like nothing. Glass was found in my food??? when we brought this to their attention the server said « oops » he didn’t even excuse himself my poor baby of 11 years old could’ve of seriously injured himself he just left after we signalled these issue. Took them 35 minute to get the manager. THEY HAD THE AUDACITY TO SIMPLY EXCUSE THEMSELVES THATS IT!! MY poor baby could’ve died!!!! Never coming back ever, the food is bad, service is bad, HEALTHY INJURY FOUND!!! my money does not grow on...
