Went there with a friend to have some beer and spend some time talking. The beers were good, the price was normal for a big beer like 11& (7$ for a usual smaller glass). The hotdog and the burger were really tasty and came with an optional side dish (fries or salad). Super nice staff. But then one of the staff continued to come and ask if he could take out beers(we hadn’t finished yet!) and also the plates.. we ordered our second beers, and He was still checking every 5 minutes on us, trying to take as many items of the table as possible!!!! It was surprisingly odd, we started to feel uncomfortable. We were sitting at the end of a long table of like 6-8 people. Although it wasn’t that much crowded and there were still enough seats. Then we decided to change our seats. To avoid him interrupting us every 5minutes, we went at the end of the place, found 2 isolatef seats, and then he finally forgot about us. I mean even if you want us to change the seats, just say it politely. Taking this strategy is really lame and cheesy. Just ask your customer in a calm and polite way if they could change their seats(if necessary). I don’t think I am gonna go their again. But if you decide to go (the food taste was good) try to find a small table, and don’t seat by the big tables. Or you would regret it.

Went for a friends birthday dinner. We all thoroughly enjoyed the food. I got the jumbo beef hotdog covered in mac and cheese and bacon. It was delicious. The buns are also nice and big which helps to hold all the delicious toppings. My fiancé got the Notorious P.I.G poutine and it tasted savoury and sweet and tangy and delicious. He ate every last bite and it was quite a generous portion. My friend got the Meat Tornado toppings with the house pork hotdog and it was really decadent and he said the fried egg just made it so luxurious and tasty. They also have a variety of vegetarian options as well. Overall I would recommend to a friend. However the service was really lacking. I had to call over the server to take our drink order, to take our food over and get the bill. He was on his cellphone behind the bar for the majority of the time we were there. He was also giving a lot of attention to one person sitting at the bar. It was really disappointing. The service is where I took a star away. I hope if I ever go back that the service is better because the food is really the star quality of this little gem.

Bring your out-of-town guests. This place is very modern Montréal: fun and unique decor (wrestling and fishing photos in the bathroom), pleasant and smiley staff, typical Montréal food (loaded hot dogs, massive poutine with all the toppings), terrasse on St-Laurent with warm lights in the middle of the traffic and people passing by. So perfect for tourist. But if you've been living in Montréal for a long time, you're probably getting a bit sick of all these not-so-authentic burger/dogs/poutine bar-place with young fun tattooed waiters, fun décor winking at some sort of cultural thing and fancy drinks served fish bowls, mason jars, erlenmeyer flask or others (basically anything but an actual glass "that's so basic"). That's it the place had no surprised and felt a bit mainstream. It was still a more than decent poutine, and I liked how many options they had for both poutine and dogs, some of them were truly inspired. Even if I was a bit unimpressed, I still had a very pleasant evening and I very much appreciate how attentive and likeable the staff was.

Went here in a larger group of people and had a pretty bad experience.

First of all the waiter took forever to come and ask us for our orders and the restaurant was pretty empty so I’m not sure why it took so long.

Everyone received their food except for my husband and I. We waited around 30 minutes (while everyone was halfway done with their plates) before we just asked the waiter what was going on. He came back within a few minutes and brought the food out and said that they were still preparing it which is why it took so long.

That didn’t make sense because we got poutine like everyone else and when we tasted it , it was almost cold (super gross). So they definitely just forgot.

The poutine was insanely small. We got the large one and it was barely bigger than its small counterpart, but cost $22 before taxes!! Crazy.

The poutine itself was one of the worst poutines I’ve ever tasted. It’s a shame because we came with out of towners and that’s what they have in their mind as Montreal poutine now. It was bitter and heavily seasoned with thyme and topped with mustard… I’m not sure how they could mess up such an iconic and simple dish. Pretty hard to but they really did it.

Lastly, when we paid, there was only the option of paying 18% tip even though the service was AWFUL and the food was disgusting. We ended up paying $30 for one sad horrible poutine.

If you want to get real poutine that’s worth your money and tastes good go to Chez Claudette or even La Banquise if you don’t mind waiting in line. Don’t come here. Waste of...

Went to Dirty Dogs on a whim with my girlfriend, as we were starving and we saw they had some vegan options.

The gentleman who served us was very knowledgeable of the menu, and was kind to inform me that the hot dog buns were vegan, but that the burger buns were not.

I had a Vegan veggie dog with stacks of delicious spicy toppings and 'vegan bacon', and it was by far the best dog I've ever had in my life.

The fries on the side were delicious, hot, well seasoned, freshly cooked, and were also very generously portioned (so many places never have enough fries on the plate!).

My girlfriend (not vegan) got a super delicious burger and great fries - and she could barely eat it all!

Good cocktail selection too, but we settled with a tasty IPA and super thick milkshake (delicious, but literally couldn't finish it after the food).

Just when we were finishing our meals, a severe thunderstorm struck and we had no umbrella (and only wearing our shorts, tees, and flip-flops!).

But the staff noticing this came out and entertained us, super friendly guys, made us feel welcome to stay as long as we liked, and excited to return. As visitors to the city, they gave us lots of advice on things to do in the city (especially in the rain), and walking distances between places.

Next time we shall try the poutine (well, my partner, anyway) - we were told that one of their chef's won a 'best poutine award' two years ago and after sampling their food today, I am not at...

How hard is it to make your hot dog meh? Pretty hard, I'd say. I came with my friends and the first thing we ordered was a pitcher of sangria. It took them so long to make it, I guess they went to the farthest vineyard, that's the only reason I can come up with. When they brought that, supposedly magnificent sangria, (otherwise why would it take so long) it had an elastic band right on top of it. At least look at what you are serving, it's not that hard... For sure none of us wanted to drink anything at this point, the mood was ruined. If they don't see the band on top, that probably came from fruits or mint, did they wash anything at all? What else did they throw in there to spice things up??? It was almost impossible to get anyone to notice us, so we could complain about the pitcher. It took us good 15 minutes to lure some random waiter in and show him the cursed band. He didn't seem to be surprised by it or even bothered. He attempted to come up with an excuse and ASKED if we wanted it to be changed. Man, you don't ask, you do! So you can probably imagine our mood at this point. The hot dogs had to be impeccable since all this time we were still waiting for it. Were they good? Nope. For sure not worth the price. The taste was pretty blend and the bun was the same one you can buy in IGA... If I could put 0, I'd give...
