Vegan friendly! The best dumplings, fried mushrooms and salt + pepper tofu! Any time I have friends or family visit I bring them here. During this time of quarantine you can still eat in the restaurant, and they are offering takeout. Incredibly clean and organized. ❤️ Feb 24 2021 update - unfortunately every time I go here it gets more greasy and salty. This past time I posted the salt and pepper tofu was just at the limit I could still enjoy and I've really loved this restaurant for years so wanted to stay loyal BUT.. Today the salt and pepper tofu was fried like it was from KFC, I could barely stomach the salt, there were zero veggies with it (originally I went here 5 years ago and it was lightly fried, served on a bed of veggies - so nice) and on top of this, their chili oil which I usually adore had been watered down with soy sauce! It all just was so Americanized. Sadly can no longer recommend. (3 stars for great staff, cleanliness, and the signature dish of dumplings are still good)

The menu is wide, and they offer lots of other dishes apart from dumplings, and the prices are fairly cheap. However, the quality isn’t top, and the service could be improved. We were a party of 2 and I received my food 15 minutes before my friend. Technically, I had time to finish eating before they even received their food. Beef noodle soup was not bad, but the broth itself a bit bland. Dumplings were really disappointing for a place that supposedly specializes in Dumplings. They came out barely warm, the filling was bland and cold and the dough on the wrapper started to become rubbery. Hopefully they address these issues swiftly since it’s a place that has been around for quite some time, and lots of new dumpling places in the same area offer better quality experience.

Oh dumplings quite the most popular and biggest restaurant in montreals Chinatown I had quite big expectations when I came into this place and their weren't ruined! The service is quite good the food came quickly but the food itself is not wow their dumpling are good but not very good which I expected because its their whole thing I also ate their curry which when I asked how spicy it is even though I'm quite good with spice they said "its really not that spicy" but when the curry came and I actually tried it was literally burning my mouth it was undoubtedly unbelievably spicy I finished the plate but damn that was hard overall the experience was ok the interior is quite nice I liked their wall of dumpling art. Good day

Ever since we entered, we were ignored by the staff for a solid 5 minutes before an employee noticed us. She told us to sit down at the chairs to wait for a table, which we did. A group of people came after us and the server pulls them first to the table despite us being first. I ask the server if this is normal since we were technically first, and they apologize, sitting us down instead. My friend orders a wonton soup alongside her dumplings and we wait for i’d say 10-12 minutes, which is a normal wait time at a restaurant. However, my other friend gets her food alone, followed by another plate for the one with the soup. I don’t get my plate. I’ve worked in the service industry before, and common procedure is to 1) always bring entrees first and 2) bring all plates at the same time, which didn’t happen in both instances. Halfway through their plates, we call a server to ask where are my dumplings and my friends soup, to which she replied they’re coming. My friend gets her soup a minute later, while i’m still waiting. Another 10 minutes later, I ask again about my dumplings since my friends are almost done eating. My friends are done, my plate is still nowhere to be seen and all tables around me are served. I come up to the cash spot, asking a third time about my plate, and this time I don’t even wanna eat anymore, because my friends are full. I told them I don’t wanna eat anymore and to cancel my plate. 30 full minutes have passed,,,and I finally get my food despite canceling my order so my friends have to sit and watch me eat while they still get to profit off of it. Icing on the cake? While paying, their excuse was « sorry ma’am but you have to know that tonight is a busy night and our dumplings are handmade », refusing to take any accountability for misplacing my dumplings/losing their ticket.

Other than that, the environment is loud, the sauces come in a cup, and it’s not even soy sauce but perhaps that’s just me being picky; I like to pour my own sauce into a tiny bowl. Nothing bad to say about the food tho, the dumplings were delicious.

I don’t think I would’ve posted this review if the cashier didn’t try to shift blame. A sincere apology and some sort of compensation would’ve done just fine. I know my story is an isolated case, but beware that this is the type of response you’ll get when you raise your concerns...

I forgot my bag in the restaurant and came back after half an hour finding them already closing the restaurant. I went in to ask for my bag and the rude staff member with the mask and the glasses pulled my Burberry bag out of their counter and told me I had to pay her 10$ for my bag which she found. I wasn’t ready paying her because she’s already been very rude by desperately wanting a tip even tho the food and the service weren’t good. So I told her just to give me my bag back but she was so desperate about getting some money from me for MY bag so I told her I’ll give her some money out of my bag (which I obviously wasn’t going to do). Anyways I then grabbed the bag but she held it by the sling and pulled it back so my bag ripped into many parts. I was so in shock and couldn’t react. In that time she took the bag back and I started getting angry and screaming at her because I really worked to get that bag. Then an older lady who was also working there tried to calm the situation down but the rude lady didn’t want to apologise or something and told me it was my fault. In that moment I couldn’t hold myself anymore and started screaming at her telling her she’ll be facing consequences and my lawyers will give everything for that. I told her that she destroyed something I worked very hard for and that she doesn’t understand that but she just kept arguing and threw the other part of my bag on the floor. I am so disgusted by this situation I just left the restaurant. I hope the owner/possessor will read this and look at the camera footage to fire and sue this disrespectful person. And if not I’ll be using the law against...

I visited this restaurant on June 28th 2025 while I was visiting the city, and will not be going back. We came here to try their veg dumplings, but when I ordered them, the server said we needed to order a 2nd item which we didn't want. Since we wanted to try the food here, we ordered their veg noodle soup alongside their veg carrot dumplings.

When we tried the dumplings, the taste was completely bland with no flavour. Upon trying the veg noodle soup, there was some flavour but the soup tasted like water with some salt. Neither dish was visually appealing either. Ultimately, we didn't want to waste food, so we finished the dumplings but could not finish the "soup."

After finishing the meal, we went up to the front counter to pay. The bill was just under $30 and there were 3 of us dining in. When I received the payment machine, I went to tap on the "no tip" option because we all genuinely did not like the experience we had.

Before I could tap the button, our server grabbed the machine and started talking about "When you dine in a restaurant in Canada, you have to tip" and something along the lines of "Our salary is not enough without tips." The server also asked us to tip at least $1 otherwise it would be considered "disrespectful." I was taken aback because I know that tipping is not mandatory, but, reluctantly, I tipped $1 for the meal and we got out of there.

Although I'm unsure of how their other food is on their menu, I don't recommend dining here due to the overall...
