Restaurant Singh's — Restaurant in Montreal

Very bad service. A friend reserved there for his birthday in advance for about 10 peoples. When we arrived, no table was available. We were made to wait at a table that could fit only about 4 peoples. People had to wait outside or around the table standing up while other of our party arrived with their wine bottle etc. It took over 30 min before we got a table that was still dirty from the previous customer that were basically rushed a bit by the staff so they could free up the table. Then, we had to wait so long for our food and half the table got served their food after almost another 25 min of waiting and the rest of the peoples waited almost 15 min extra to start getting our food and we had to harass the waiters because we kept missing things that we ordered. Half the peopels were done eating when the rest got their order. And once it was time to pay, we had to wait in line at the counter, took almost 15 min before I could pay. To add insult to injury, I see this customer who seem like a regular casually finishing his plate at the counter, he spoke to the owner over the counter and said something about being in a rush and, low and behold, the manager nodded and just took his cash and made him pay right there without waiting at all in line like the rest of the customer while I was standing like a moron for over 15 min in line. Disappointing Experience with Poor Service and Quality This was my second visit to Restaurant Singh's, and unfortunately, it was a major disappointment. Upon arrival, the service was already off to a bad start. I had to wait an unusually long time just to place my order, and the service throughout the entire visit was incredibly slow.

To make matters worse, when the food finally arrived, I was shocked to find that no plates were provided. I had to repeatedly request plates, and even then, it was challenging to get any attention from the staff. The lack of attentiveness and basic courtesy was quite disheartening.

Furthermore, the quality of the food was far from satisfactory. The Garlic naan I ordered was burnt and tasted terrible. It was clear that proper attention was not given to its preparation. Additionally, I found it disappointing that the wash basin only provided hot water for handwashing. It's a shame that they don't offer regular water for this basic necessity.

Overall, my experience at Restaurant Singh's was nothing short of a letdown. The poor service, lack of attention to customers, burnt food, and limited handwashing facilities left a negative impression on me. I hope the management takes these concerns seriously and makes the necessary improvements to provide a better dining experience for...

I usually don’t write reviews, but what happened last night really made me want to share my experience.

Me and my seven friends went there for dinner, and everything started off fine. But when we got our food and began eating, we noticed that almost every dish was extremely spicy — far beyond normal. I even switched to another dish, but it had the same overpowering spice. We had ordered around 4-5 dishes, and all of them tasted overly spicy with the same flavor.

We politely informed the waiter about it, not to complain, but just to give feedback for the chef for future improvement. We paid our full bill and even left a good tip for the staff, because their service was nice and respectful.

However, as we were leaving, the owner came outside and started yelling and abusing us for no reason. The staff told us he was drunk, so we decided to ignore it. We even tried to contact the police, but when the owner realized his mistake, he came and apologized — so we let it go and left.

This was actually our second visit, and honestly, it left us really disappointed. Being Indian myself, I know what authentic Indian flavors should taste like — and what they serve is far from it. The food and the owner’s behavior both made this...
