Cheryl's Deli & Subs — Restaurant in Niagara Falls

Wanted something quick but didn’t want fast food for dinner and easily decided subs was the way to go. We had decided on Cheryl’s due to creeksides not answering the phone. We had been to Cheryl’s in the past and figured we would give it another go. Words cannot express the disappointment I felt upon opening the sub, consuming it and lastly throwing it up at 3am. My husband and I both got very sick. Unsure of exactly what it was that gave us food poisoning however we both had an assorted sub with similar toppings.

The sub— when we arrived home and opened the subs I realized that mine was not made how I asked. Originally asked for red onion which they didn’t have so I said white was fine, I didn’t however expect an entire jumbo onion on my sub… overkill. Red peppers instead of green, tomatoes when I asked for none and practically no mayo when I asked for extra. There was an inch of lettuce and the meat tasted rancid. I didn’t even eat more than one half of it and the rest ended up in the garbage. It wasn’t longer than a few hours before my husband and I were both clutching out stomachs as they practically ripped in half. We both lost a day of work due to this. It was the first and only thing we had eaten that day so it’s the obvious culprit.

I’m not typically one to give bad reviews however when I’m puking between my legs due to food related illness at 4 am it makes my fingers want to dance on the keyboard. I can’t even fathom the amount of 5 stars on here because even when I had their subs in the past they were mediocre at best. Definitely would have preferred to eat my own arm than this trash. Ultimately it is blatantly obvious now to me that I should have just made the drive to house of subs in St. Catharines. Will not...

Drove from Beamsville to see what the hype was all about In the rougher part of the falls, off the main strip and tourist traps. The staff are very friendly and helpful Had the assorted. When she finished making the sandwich and handed it to me, it was like she handed me a foot long brick. Man this was heavy and packed All the ingredients were fresh and plentiful Bread was fresh and a bit denser than other chain sub shops, and dense was needed to hold this monster together packed with flavor and with a can of coke $13. First time at Cheryl's Deli and Subs and ot will not be the last. I walked past the place today with a big old today specials sign, the one item that caught my eye was the roast beef sandwich and side for 6.50. Thinking it was a good deal I made my way inside and was greeted by 2 friendly ladies. I told them what I wanted and they were happy to help. One of the ladies was the owner and she was so approachable and friendly. The atmosphere I this place is very homey and the food reflects that too!
