I had a craving for wonton soup. I searched wonton soup Niagara Falls and this place was top of the list so I decided to give it a shot.
It's so good. The broth is amazing and it's packed with wontons and slices of pork and of course it has green onions. This is way better than any other Chinese restaurant wonton soup I've ever had.
I ordered two large. They are $8.73 a piece and I also got two coconut donuts. Total price was 21 bucks. I don't know why I thought it was going to be able to eat two but at least I have another one for tomorrow.
There were four different tables of people all with big giant bowls of wonton soup. So this place is like a secret for the locals because I really doubt that many tourists would stop by there just because it's a little out of the touristy area it's kind of a rundown area and there were some obviously disadvantaged people around.
It appears to me like the owner and his wife run the shop. I can't be precisely sure but I think they're Chinese. The husband is a really nice guy and provided great friendly service.
------------It is cash only.----------
There's plenty of parking behind the shop.
The shop is very clean and looks like a donut shop you might have expected 30 years ago. And that's just fine.
The two donuts I got were a little cold so I'm not sure if they bake on site or if they order them like Tim Hortons does but they have a wide selection of donuts that I just don't see at Tim Hortons. I had to get a coconut donut cuz I haven't seen one in forever.
Anyway, I'll definitely be going back when the next...
Read moreHands down one of THE BEST places for food in all of niagara. Its not easy finding honest food at great prices anymore. Their donuts are the best, forget that tim hortons garbage which isn't even baked, let along fried like a donut should be. But as you will read in the other reviews. Their wonton soup is just incredible!!! I took my father here for the first time yesterday, he was so blown away that he ordered more to take home for my step mom. He told me that he was never a.fan of wonton soup because he only had it at Chinese restaurants which is usually bland and just lousy broth with flavorless wonton. Here, your soup is PACKED FULL of delicious tender bbq pork and around 8-10 flavorful wonton. I can't say for sure if they are made in house, but if they aren't, tell me the name of the supplier because they are incredible. It says A LOT about a small unassuming business a name like."country donuts" in the bad area of town that has a constant stream and line up of all walks of life coming here to purchase and enjoy this food. Congratulations to the owners for their hard hard, excellent products, reasonable prices and much deserved success. I will be a life long customer if they keep doing...
Read moreThis place is a gem. I never had fresh donuts before and what a difference.. Country Fresh Donuts is a unique place where they offer fresh daily made donuts. Yes! Made not baked! Not fried, frozen then baked...
Country Fresh Donut makes their Donuts and sells it till its gone. I come from Mississauga and sometimes I got there at 11am and most are gone already. The donuts are so soft and not to sweet. Because of this combination it makes you eat more. I would leave the donut in the open for hours and comeback to a very soft donut waiting for a coffee.
Don't get me wrong not all favors you will like but for the one the you would it will be heaven. Another wanring. Coffee not the best nor good, you can try it but im picky with my coffee.
