I thought I knew pizza, and then I had Honey Heat. I tell you, peperoni was never my thing, but me and my girl went into this establishment after a brisk walk. I am more of a vegetarian guy, you know? Eats best cold compared to the other typical options. Anyway- on this particular day we were hungry, craving some pizza or somethin. They had slices, nice. We wanted to share a slice, since they seemed good size. We settled on the pepperoni slice. It was clearly pepperoni right? If you said "right" to that, then you'd be WRONG! It's called Honey Heat. "Honey Heat?" I thought to myself. Honey, on pizza? No way. I am NOT a picky eater. So we got it. For a slice, price was fair, and fed the two of us easy. It was like a quarter of a pizza! We added some garlic for the dipping. Got a drink too. I think it was Nestea or somethin. Anyway, gave it a bite. And when I say I thought I knew pizza, well this is that wake up call we all need. I ordered pizza from the Lakeshore Road location on Friday night. When I arrived to pick up the pizza, I overhead the manager speaking with an irate customer about a delivery that arrived four minutes after the requested time. I could hear the customer swearing and calling the manager derogatory names. The manager was a young woman who handled the call very professionally and calmly. I don't think she could have resolved this customer's anger, though she tried. I don't understand why people feel they can vent their anger with such abuse.
