Having been a customer here before, it's sad to say that this place has gone downhill and I will never be back again. Trying to enjoy a nice summer afternoon, my mother and I decided to roam downtown this past Sunday and we decided to grab one of your Croissants. We arrived at 3:40pm, and as soon as we entered the store, we were rudely told that they were closing, even though the store didn't close until 4pm. As someone who is a manager in customer service, customers can come in any time up until you close and you need to serve them regardless. I would completely understand if they were sold out of what we wanted, but that wasn't the case. We said we'd be quick and the cashier rolled her eyes at us...so rude. We ordered two basic Croissants to go and my mom simply asked for some jam on her Croissant however none was put on. A few more customers came in and left before ordering due to how rude they were also treated. Any time we'd try to talk to someone that worked at this store, all they said to us was the fact that they wouldn't talk to us because they are "closing soon", This type of customer service is EXTREMELY unacceptable and if they worked for me, I'd one hundred percent manage them out of the business for sure. It's sad but I know how expensive rent is downtown oakville and to be turning valuable customers away because you "decided to close early" isn't right. Won't be returning again and will be telling everyone I know to...
Read moreTreated with hostility and rudeness because I wore a mask. We have had only had great service here from other staff until this morning. The woman behind the counter glared at me when I came in the door and it only went downhill from there. (Yes, I am still wearing a mask because my family situation demands I be more cautious than most folks and we are still wearing masks in indoor spaces and practicing social distancing -I am happy the mandates have been lifted and we are coming out of this thing but I have to be more careful than most folks right now.)
When this women finished serving the customer in front of me, she found many other tasks that needed doing rather than serve me. When she finally had to acknowledge me, she did so in a manner that was rude, hostile and completely unprofessional. She gave me a flat stare and and said 'what' and when I provided my order, she literally rolled her eyes and said 'sure' in the same tone. I was too shocked to say anything, I have never experienced that level of abuse from anyone and I am not going to ever again.
Any establishment that thinks it's ok to treat their customers like that does not deserve to stay in business. Judging from the other comments here citing the same behaviour from this woman, this has been going on for awhile. There are so many other great places in Oakville that do not inflict their political views or bad tempers on their customers and they will be getting...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I needed a special desert and had heard great stuff about this adorable spot, so we decided to take a drive from Toronto and make a little trip from it; (we took the scenic route and drove lakeshore all the way to Oakville); the moment we walked in, and was immediately greeted by Sara with a huge warm smile that light up the room especially on a gloomy cloudy day like today), it smelled fresh and delicious; many options of sweet treats to select from so it was hard to pick as I wanted all of them; after much thought we decided to try out the apple fritter and Napoleon and their hot chocolate! We sat down took our first bite and immediately felt like we were heaven every bite thereafter was better then the one prior and before we knew it; both of our deserts was gone with one seconds. Fresh delicious and generous portions. Friendly staff welcoming and warm. We will definitely come back again and again. This is a hidden gem and must try!! Worth the drive! Thanks Sara and team. Keep up the great work and we’ll see you soon....
