I used to come here multiple times a week and was always happy with the customer service I received from the girls who were working here before they left. I even introduced Oakberry to my friends and family and got them hooked. The photo attached is from when I used to have a very pleasant experience at Oakberry Oakville. Unfortunately that is no longer the case.

The staff previously working here mentioned that the reason they were leaving was because school was starting in the fall, as well as the management being annoying, micromanaging too much, and constantly watching their every move through the cameras. I understood then that that’s what it must take to manage a business, but now I truly understand their frustration and can empathize with them.

The newly hired girl is extremely pleasant and lovely but unfortunately during my last visit, I had to deal with a guy named ā€˜Robinder’ who seemed to be either the owner or manager.

I mentioned that I am a regular customer and the rest of the staff is familiar with my order, but just a heads up, it can be a bit complicated for someone who has not prepared it for me before. It involves a medium sized bowl with three layers of acai and toppings, which includes fruit in each of the layers. I’d also like to mention that they advertise themselves as letting their customers add as many toppings as they like.

He refused to make my acai bowl with the fruit added in layers and said it can only be added at the very end at the top. I was hoping we could come to a compromise and he could make my bowl in 2 layers if not 3. He outright refused. Unfortunately at that point I had to ask for a refund.

It seems some other reviewers are complaining about the same thing, lack of layers as well as the unpleasant attitude of the guy attending to them. I hope Robinder/management is happy to lose their most...

We come here all the time. Today Sunday June 16th around 2pm. Both people working behind the counter today needed more training, they did not know what they were doing causing a long line. One was telling the other what to do but neither had any direction of what they were doing and were very disorganized. I called them out for throwing out the receipt for our order before they even started it. The 2 of them talked amongst themselves of what was going on, one of them reprinted the receipt after. Highly unsanitary, taking orders with the same gloves pressing the screen and then preparing our order, spinning the cup around with their fingers in it. We will return but I hope management reads this and makes sure employees have proper training before letting them work in the store alone without any supervision. We’ve never had this issues prior to today.

Edit: returned Canada day and I only saw one of the people working from the same weekend as the review above, I did not wait in the store but my husband said it very pleasant,...

I went to Oakberry with much anticipation as it had been recommended to me. I live near the area and walk by often and decided to give it a try. When I went to pay, I was told they don’t accept cash. I told them that technically, cash is legal tender. They aren’t obligated to provide change, but they should accept cash as long as it covers the total amount. I told them I was just telling them this as an FYI in case someone comes in with only cash, but I could pay with a card no problem. After paying, one of the two workers (I don’t know her name but she had blonde hair dyed pink), proceeded to look at her co-worker and roll her eyes, smirk and laugh at me in a very obvious way. It felt very rude and very awkward. I stood there uncomfortably waiting for my bowl while this was going on and it soured the whole experience for me. I will not...

My friend and I got acai bowls yesterday and we wanted to love it so bad, but we just didn’t. Flavour wise, it wasn’t for us, but that’s fine that’s just our palate maybe. We initially felt a little icky after we ate it, but again maybe that was because we weren’t fans of the taste. We went home and both had terrible. stomach pain, nausea, and had to take several bathroom trips. Such a shame, we have both been waiting to try acai and I guess it just didn’t sit right with our stomachs. Just be cautious when you try acai maybe, I don’t want anyone to go through that horrid stomach pain and be unable to sleep, like us. Never again, unfortunately! ( But if you are trying it, get it with lots of nido powder, it made some bites more tolerable)

I went there today and I had a bad experience. Last week I was there as well (yes, I love Acai), and I was really good attended with a lady, no complaint. But today the guy who attended me was rude, I asked him some questions abou the Acai and he was like ā€œI don’t know I don’t careā€. If you check in the pics in attachment you can see in the first bowl ( last week) was normal, with the condiments in the middle, really nice that’s why I come back, because I liked. And in the another picture nothing in the middle… I didn’t liked, and I spent 29$ - really, I loved the place and I really like Acai, but I’m disappointed today.
