My bridal party and I recently had an amazing experience at Jack Astors. The rooftop section of the restaurant offers a breathtaking view that made my dining experience perfect. It was such a treat to enjoy delicious food and drinks while taking in the scenic surroundings. Speaking of drinks, Jack Astors truly exceeded my expectations. The selection was impressive, and each drink I tried was absolutely phenomenal. From perfectly mixed cocktails to refreshing mocktails, they catered to all preferences and made sure to deliver an unforgettable beverage experience. Our waitress deserves special recognition for her hard work. Despite the rooftop being busy, she went above and beyond to accommodate us. Her attentiveness, professionalism, and friendly demeanor made us feel valued as customers, and she made sure our experience was seamless from start to finish. When it comes to the food, Jack Astors did not disappoint. The wait time for our meals was around 30 minutes, which was reasonable given the crowd. And let me tell you, the wait was well worth it. The dishes were not only visually appealing but also incredibly flavorful. The menu offered a diverse range of options, and each bite was a burst of yumminess.

We attended a reunion event at Jack Astor's, Kingston, last night, 9/15/23. It was loud & crowded, however, the STAFF were AMAZING 💚. Giving us each a numbered beer-coaster to keep track of our bar tabs was ingenious. I hope the honesty system worked. The attendees were all under the impression that we had a reserved space upstairs, but somehow that was not the case. Instead we were literally squished & squeezed into a small side area to the right of the front door. It was disappointing & brutal as we were looking forward to an upscale space. I believe JA mgmt owes the organizer of our gathering an apology. I'm sure the revenue for the evening was huge, our bill for two came to over $110 & there were easily 50 people in attendance. The food & drinks were top quality, no complaints there. Each bar & menu item was great, despite the crowded space. I would hold the next reunion TGIF event there, if we could be accommodated in a more suitable space. Again, HUGE kudos to our kind wait staff who did an amazing job of delivering drinks & food through the madness of our shoulder to shoulder crowd. I hope they will be recognized & commended by JA Mgmt.

Ate her twice while passing through Kingston, Our first visit around 2pm: -mashed potatoes were hot on the outside and cold on the inside/ microwaved. When I asked for a fresh plate I was given more microwaved potatoes instead. -I asked for medium well and my steak was well done and dry/chewy/full of black peppers, also the meat in this location tasted a-bit different comparing to all the other locations I ate at. When I told my waitress Laura my steak was dry she told me it was because I asked for it medium well... lol, it’s okay I understand it was busy but I don’t deserve food I don’t like. Came back at night for burgers, the service was abit better, the food still didn’t taste the best.. it feels like a whole different restaurant.

If you’re going to this Jack Astor’s, i recommend getting the finger foods or their appetizers and fishbowls. Unfortunately, the mains are disappointingly dissatisfying. The service was good, the vibe is excellent, the servers and the place is great! It’s a huge location with 3 stories including the patio. Just so disappointed that the food is not the best part especially for the price. So not worth it. Nonetheless, if you go there you most definitely need to try the fishbowls! Those are alcoholic beverages in a giant bowl that you can sip on for hours and have no worries after finishing 2 bowls. Don’t be the designated driver if you plan to drink them fishbowls.
