Adding this to my go-to Pho restaurants when I'm in Windsor.
Happen to see this restaurant on my Google search for Pho (wasn't really random... I typed in Pho). Gave it a try and enjoyed my time here.
To start, the food was really good with good portion dishes. Spring rolls were crispy. The Pho Dac Biet was pretty standard, but had lots of meat. The vermicelli was big for a small size. The seafood noodle was good but only downside is the shrimp was small. Finally the Pad Thai, it's not a one-person dish. So bring your family. The pad thai seemed to have more bean sprouts than noodles. These are the the reasons why I took off one star.
For the location, it's conveniently located with ample parking located at the back. The restaurant is very spacious. There's a lot of space that can be filled with more seats and tables. But I prefer to have social distancing.
Finally the service, they are very quick. We spilled some tea and then came with a towel to wipe it right away. Only downside was the food took longer than I expected compared to other Pho place. Which is probably a good thing, means they're cooking the food and not something that's sitting there all day waiting to be served.
Overall, this is in my top places for Pho when...
Read moreI am a Pho lover and just finished my meal there. The Pho soup was excellent and delicious. I have no complaints at all. There were so many details I want to give my compliments to this restaurant owner and staff. First of all, their XL Pho soup is $14.99, you will never find this price in anywhere of Toronto now. Second, they have all the condiments on the table, salt, pepper, fish sauce, soy sauce, Hoisin sauce and Sriracha Chili sauce, even sugar! There is nothing else you will needed, everything is there. The most of Vietnamese restaurants only put 3-4 kind of condiments. So this is the most complete condiment set I have ever seen. When the food was delivered, there were two pieces of cut limes ( the most Vietnamese restaurants only give one) The three pieces napkins ( some of others only provide one, you have to ask if you need more) I can eat very spicy, so I asked two more fresh chili, the waitress brought me four. I also noticed that the waiter only clean up the table after the customer left ( some of restaurants always in a rush, cleaning the tables while the customer finished eating but...
Read morePho Nguyen Hoang has been a staple to the downtown Windsor core for longer than I have been alive, and walking through their doors will show you exactly why they are (and have been) so successful.
They serve fresh and authentic Vietnamese cuisine, including many options for vegetarian dishes and appetizers, so your vegetarian friends don't feel left out. The value to portions ratio is excellent. The service is top tier. The quality of food is excellent.
This is a family owned and operated business that has established a wonderful reputation across social media platforms and is highly regarded to being one of the absolute top Vietnamese restaurants in Southwestern Ontario. The staff are pleasant and passionate about their work within the restaurant and do everything to ensure you have a great time dining in, and having an accurate ordering when taking out food. I personally bring everyone to this restaurant, and not one person has left disappointed or hungry.
