Gross!!! Non authentic, flavourless and expensive. The flaming/or as I like to call it, “flameless” cheese was greasy and salty & the cheese wasn’t even melted. (Threw most of it in the garbage). The burritos/buros are flavourless( the rice tastes weird, there’s a wad of cheese in the middle with wilty lettuce (who puts lettuce in a burrito, chicken had no flavour, and the refried bean were gross too) their chunky salsa is extremely watery, their smooth salsa taste like hot spaghetti sauce, I suggest Bobby’s burritos ,and mi casita, like Mexican Town (the menu isn’t as large, but it’s quality food that tastes amazing at very reasonable prices.) My family and I were so disappointed with this restaurant. I think a revamp of the menu is a must!! People are crazy who gave this place a good rating, they must have been drunk when eating ( it’s a bar too, so it’s the only thing that makes sense) or friends ... Response to Acapulco my best friend is El Salvadoran..just because u are a restaurant doesn’t make u authentic.. I’ve had a lot of Hispanic food, and this is definitelynot it! Bobby’s uses real Hispanic flavours and ingredients. Mi casita is also a better place to go.. u should no take this personal and attack your critics. As your consumer u should look at making them happy not being rude. there is no comparison to Taco Bell and the places I mentioned, u taste more like Taco Bell (Actually Taco Bell has more flavour lol).. I miss 3 Amigos, REAL Latin cookin, by real Latin...
Read moreI saw this place had good reviews so I wanted to give it a try, but I was pretty let down in the end. The restaurant was a mess and seemed very dirty and in pretty bad shape, but I had carryout so that wasn't a big deal (even though the food was ready 10 minutes later than our pickup time even though there were only two tables of people in the restaurant.) Unlike every other Mexican restaurant, they decided to put all of the toppings directly onto the food instead of on the side. Sour cream makes me sick so I had to scrape all of the toppings off of my burritos and eat basically just chicken in a tortilla, but the chicken did at least taste pretty good. The rice and beans that came with my burritos were subpar and I honestly didn't think I could be disappointed by beans and rice but here I am. We ordered churros and plantains as desserts and the churros tasted pretty good, but were a little harder than you'd want (probably from the drive home so I won't fault them for that.) The plantains were a different story; they were extremely soggy and slimy and basically inedible. Overall, I would say I was pretty disappointed in the experience; I think the place has potential but the dine-in experience doesn't seem great and it seems like their food does not sit well for a drive...
Read moreOrdered the Cancun and the Mexicali. Both were honestly disgusting. With the Cancun, the taquito was dry and tasteless (spouse said he could get a better one at 7/11). The beef burritos were just beef (nothing else) and rolled, so both sides were open. The burrito is made with an 8-inch tortilla which is obviously very small. The beef was also completely unseasoned and tasted pretty gross. The beef enchilada also only had beef in it (covered in sauce). The thing they call a quesadilla is definitely not a quesadilla. There is a large portion of shredded, completely unseasoned chicken (tasted at least a day old). It also has slices of avocado in it. It didn't have ANY cheese in it. Rice and beans were meh. Rice is typically edible no matter what, but my spouse was visibly grossed out by the beans.
Both of our dishes had cheese sprinkled on top, which I guess was their cheap way of making up for none of the items having any cheese inside of them. It also made picking up any of the items to actually eat extremely difficult - I had to eat mine with a knife and fork.
Honestly, this was a waste of money and pretty gross. We could have easily made this better at home. No effort, no love, truly...
