I used to come here weekly pre-pandemic because it was the best Schawarma in the city by far. Not just the food but the atmosphere and service was exceptional back then, the owner remembered me and would always strike conversations that were memorable. Now that took a 360 turn; the two people serving me looked miserable as if they didn’t want to be there - from the tone of their voice to their body language made me regret coming there. Not to mention the quality and size of the food portions has fell but some how prices went up significantly.
I was there few weeks ago and how things have changed, feels like new ownership and I didn’t even have to ask. Not the same atmosphere as I had remembered it to be. I was getting a few Shawarmas recently…. You want humus? That’s extra… you want a Tabuli? That’s extra… You want to replace turnip with more pickles.. that’s extra… Nickle and dimed for every little thing - not to mention the amount of protein was half of what it used to be. When I got the Schawarmas in the end the wrap was saugy and the meat was crisp from being burnt. Surely missed the old Shawarma Palace that lives in my memories. Thats my first and last visit there...
Read moreTHESE ARE ALL BOUGHT REVIEWS. The food quality is horrible. It's like 7/11 pizza. It's cheap on price and quality, tastes blend, and only fills you up if You have the stomach for it. Refer to my picture. I ordered a chicken shawarma wrap and It must of have less than 50 grams of meat on it. You be the judge. Let alone the man asks me "do you want everything on it?" I answer "yes", and by everything his assumption was Lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. Lol.. I ask "could I get Hummus, tabouli, Tahini".. etc.. He's answer was "I already put garlic in your shawarma, the tahini is for falafel".....Okay.. So if you've never heard about Tahini in your shawarma wrap or plate you're in the wrong business. Despite of the purpose your sauce is used for it is one of your condiments offered to your costumers, and why do you even question someone's preference? No wonder the place was empty during lunch hour. Employees in the near by businesses know better to go to Pizza...
Read moreGarbage. The shawarma was so greasy that I just the it out right away, and when I called for delivery he said call back in 10 minutes so I do, the he puts me on hold for 5 minutes and I hear the guy saying "warm up the potatoes" so when he gets back on the phone I asked if the potatoes are microwaves and he said yes but they're freshly made he just microwave them to heat them up more. So then once I get the food I open the potatoes in it reeks like old falafels and the potatoes are so stale and barely warm you can tell that they were microwaved but they tasted like week-old potatoes that were just warmed up. And the garlic sauce looks like cottage cheese only it was all packed together like Jell-O I couldn't even eat anything it was disgusting....
