Celebrating a birthday dinner. We are repeat customers as we love the food here. Never had a bad experience until tonight. Our server was just terrible, never acknowledged our table, did not know much about her wine list, brought us a wine different than what I thought I ordered since she said they carried it in merlot and Cabernet which I have had here before but the merlot definitely was not the same cellars Gatto Nero and we did not get the bottle until our appetizers were done I had to ask the bus boy where was our wine. We asked for there bread with the appetizers and did not get it she said it would come with the food asked the bus boy and he brought us it, had cocktails not asked if I wanted another which I wanted so I did not bother getting another since she was not acknowledgeing our table, spent all night waving a server over for assistance as she never made any eye contact with our table . We ordered appetizers had finished them and she never came around to order our mains so again I had to get her attention to come to the table so we can order mains . One of the ladies had asked a question about the options for the sides and she rolled her eyes at her which we all saw, that was rude on top off the already poor service. Than the ladies wanted a cappuccino which I saw her struggling to make them at the bar as she brought them to the table I said to the ladies you are about to receive a horrible cappuccino and when she placed them on the table u saw that it was boiled milk steaming with no froth. They tasted awful so again I had to reach out to another server who was apoplectic to take them back and not to bother remaking them we just had enough of our server and wanted to leave so bring the bill , our server not once apologized or even asked how was everything. The rest of the staff was really good and attentive ,food was really good . I had pulled the manager aside (Matteo) and basically told him how awful our server was and rude rolling her eyes and she should be talked to as a senior server she needs to change her traits and be more pleasant. Matteo gave our ladies a gift card to return as I did not care for it. We dine out regularly and we never had such a unpleasant evening as we did with our server. Dining out is not cheap it is not McDonald‘S so I expect to have expectations of quality of food and quality of service. This server does not like her profession and because of this her rest of the team suffers on the tip % which are not at fault . My point being is mangers should not take for granted a server that had many years in the industry as good servers , it just ruined our experience and left a bad impression on returning to this...
Read moreI have always adored Spago’s at Caeser’s. Today, I had an unfavourable circumstance and I believe the manger handled it poorly. The establishment had an unexpected increase of customers due to a marketing ploy by the casino. We waited an additional 20 minutes to be seated at our table, but we had a positive familial vibe due to a great family outing at Royal Hills Water Park in Ypsilanti. My family and I were served our flatbread with garlic and it looked amazing. However, we did not have utensils and it took an additional 5 minutes to get them. The waiter was apologetic, but the flatbreads oil on the top of the bread was absorbed and it started to get cold. He was a nice individual and stated he was called in due to the increase of customer volume. The salads were served next and the meal started to go better. Consequently, a 10 inch hair was in my salad and I was not impressed. I showed the waiter, who was walking by as I had the piece of hair in my mouth, and he apologized. He stated that he’d talk to his manager about the incident. The remainder of the meal came out and was amazing. Half way through the meal, the waiter approached and stated that we could have a new salad if we liked. I was shocked and said we were okay. My daughter was served fettuccine and was not given a spoon. I approached the manager and asked for a spoon. I was polite and kind and had a smile on my face when asking for the utensil. He came by the table a few minutes later and handed the spoon with a smile on his face. The waiter came by a couple of times and I didn’t make eye contact due to my dissatisfaction. At the end of the meal, the waiter asked how the meal was. I stated that it was delicious, but I didn’t appreciate the hair. I let the individual know that he did a good job, but I did not appreciate how the manager handled the situation. I left him a 20% tip due to the issue not being in his control. While leaving, the manger was at the entrance and asked how the meal was. I ignored him and walked out. He asked if we wanted a bag due to having take out boxes and I told my wife and children that we were okay. I felt that if I was loud and caused a scene, that the manager would have at least acknowledged the disgust I had with the hair in my mouth. I am not that individual and tried to approach the incident as a member with class. The manger disregarded me and that is why I am leaving this...
Read moreHad an amazing experience (as usual) at Spago's last night! They've become my fiance and I's favourite date night place both for incredible food and incredible service. Never feel rushed, no matter how busy they are, they make every table feel like a priority. We were slightly worried upon arrival as we didn't realize there was a show at the casino so it was quite busy which we didn't expect so we didn't plan a reservation. They showed us absolutely no hesitation once it was our turn in line and got us seated, and started much quicker than we could've guessed with just how busy it seemed. They have a great sense of control within the dining room, and the staff all seemed collected, calm, and to collaborate incredibly as a team..
Last night, and our last visit before this as well we had a very kind and helpful server named Sebastian (hopefully I got his spelling correct) he was very welcoming, helpful, and kind, he even took a photo for us when we asked (and didn't make us feel awkward or weird for asking as we've experienced elsewhere). I also wanted to mention too, my fiance got Egg with his carbonara and before he even could've noticed it, Sebastian noticed that the egg was a little overdone (fiance wasn't going to even complain he thought it still looked great) and insisted on bringing out a freshly cooked egg for him which came very quickly and surprised us greatly. Attention to detail is KEY 🗝️ The service at this location is next to none, and I honestly feel it should be an industry standard.
Was gonna take photos of the food, but we were too excited to dig in 🤪 fiance absolutely loved the Carbonara, and my go-to when I visit is the Fettuccine Alfredo + chicken. I personally make my own Alfredo sauce at home so for me to be excited to get it elsewhere goes to show, it's incredible 🤌🏼
So if you've been reluctant to try for any reason, let this be a post of encouragement to give Spago inside the casino a...
