Horrible Service, I have frequented this location many times. When taking clients up to Kingston this was ulour uaual lunch spot. As time goes on, service has gotten horrible. Today I ordered a tofu fried rice and confirmed with the employee it's vegetarian so they don't put egg. They delivered a vegetarian fried rice without tofu and added egg. When we approached them to fix it the employees tried to charge me extra 3 dollars for tofu and said that vegetarian doesn't include tofu. They also stated the the order i said was to comlicsted. Communication with their current employee base seems to be horrible.
Further I went through reviews for this location and it seems it's an ongoing issue. Their customer service is rude and getting orders wrong seems to be a norm. How does a franchise allow this locatoon to run without keeping business owners liable for this sort of attitude. If customers wanted to take a risk and try something different , we'd go to non franchise locations. The reason behind choosing a franchise food spot is for comfort and consistency. Very...
Read moreI used to love Thai Express but I do not recommend this location. I had to throw away the majority of my meal:
Red curry - they stopped adding bamboo shoots and now use baby corn. While ordering the photo clearly shows bamboo shoots and does not mention the change. I was able to eat some of the curry but the flavour was lacking and there was barely any sauce.
Shrimp Fresh Roll - I didn't receive my dipping sauce and the roll was incredibly gritty (like sandy). I opened the roll and could see dirt throughout the lettuce.
Mini noodle soup - I don't know exactly what happened but I suspect an ingredient got burned during preparation? The soup was a much darker colour than it normally is and tasted really really off (tasted almost like charcoal?).
Customer service was good and I got a gift card for a part of the meal but I would have just preferred a refund since the order was...
Read moreI order chicken fried rice. They gave me a small Thai express box but I wanted it in a container. The server said he would charge me for that. I said okay. But he didn’t charge me for it, but he still gave me a look, lol. The chicken fried rice was good though(3/5). Above review is from a year ago.
This time I went for a cold winter walk and thought a spicy soup would be perfection. I googled for a tomyum soup and it took me to Thai express. I paid 12 dollars for the huge soup. The soup had a lot of noodles, mushrooms, clean pieces of chicken and the taste was just out of this world. You most certainly get the value for your buck here. I gave a 3/5 star review for Thai express last year and would like to change it to 4 based on the soup. Would love to try...
