I was in Penticton with my mom and was craving some amazing ice cream (I’m 7 months pregnant and cravings are REAL). I googled and this was the #1 recommended place. Right away, waiting was perfectly socially distanced, it smelled FABULOUS as they make their own waffle cones and bowls, and the menu was displayed in large font for easy reading. Choosing my flavours was simple and all the girls who worked there were so helpful and friendly. We decided to eat our cones on the beach, and since there’s was a lot of ice cream (I got two scoops on a waffle cone - cookie dough and sea salt caramel fudge) I had a spoon. Well, I had maybe 2 bites and the whole thing collapsed and fell to the ground. DEVASTATION for preggo! I went right back and waited on the off chance that I could get my cone replaced. Low and behold, they did! And they gave me a spoon AND a bowl to eat my second cone. It was without a doubt, hands down THE BEST ice cream my little mouth has had up to this point! 10/10 recommend and I will be going there first thing next time...
Read moreI have the option of returning over and over again as a local guide. I have checked out all the gourmet ice cream shops in Penticton to be fair. Lickity Splitz has the best prices. They're also open late, closing at 10 pm so you can enjoy your favorites long after the dinner hour. The Servers all always cheery. Their ice cream variations from ice cream flavors, types of cones, crazy shakes, toppings, styles, hard and soft ice cream, etc fills any ice cream lover's delight and needs. The flavors are over the top amazing, creamy and frozen solid so melting doesn't ruin the speed of consumption. I gave 4 stars because of consistency. How much you get depends on who's serving you. My last visit was somewhat annoying when the customer beside me got a sizable difference in a one scoop cup compared to mine. Same happened with two scoops. Please live up to your reputation and deliver the sizable amounts that so many are raving about. I do highly recommend this...
Read moreTried 2 different flavors of ice cream, Rum Raisin and Belgian Hazelnut, both were good. Ice creams are not housemade, they are from a certain creamery, foothills I guess. Per scoop $6 and a waffle cone for $1.50. Their Medium (2 scoops) is for $8.50 and Large (3 scoops) is for $10.50 but the major con is that if you take large which are 3 scoops they give you in a long cup i.e one on one, not a wide cup wherein 3 people can have or share. What is the point of a long cup with one scoop over another? How can you eat those especially if they are different flavors? Imagine what happens to the last or even the middle scoop? It's a ridiculous idea whoever thought of it! The shop is located on the waterfront right across the beach and is...
