This was my very first dining experience in Penticton after reviewing 155 eateries in Vernon.
My friend Charlotte and I came here with her husband and son as we were visiting this lovely town for the Ice Cube concert.
Because Salty's was fully reserved, we came here instead prior to the concert.
We got here during Happy Hour so there was about a 25 percent discount for half of their menu.
We ordered six different tapas. All were delicious. We had dessert too.
In the men's room, the left sink has hot water. The right sink has a tough time with hot water.
I can't comment on the final price because my friend covered the bill.
If I had to estimate, my 3 beers, my share of tapas, and dessert likely came in at about $75 after tax and tip.
It was the most expensive meal I've ever had, but I was on vacation with friends, the service was A+, the food was A+, and the location is A+.
If you are willing to relax your wallet and on vacation here in Penticton with friends and family, come here. This place itself is a worthy standalone tourist attraction.
I will be recommending this place to all of my friends who stop on the south side of...
Read moreIncredible Italian dishes served tapas style, order as you go. Beautiful restaurant with attendant servers and excellent chefs. If you're a local, definitely check them out before they're slammed in the summer (because with food this good, they will be). We had a fantastic time, and our server was amazing!
My only complaint is the bar service. I don't know if they're understaffed or their bartender left midway through the evening, but the servers were doubling as bartenders and you could tell they were not trained for it.
Just like how I'm not merely paying for the ingredients of my meal at a restaurant of this quality, but for the skill, training, and craft of the chef, cooks and servers, I'm not merely paying for the ingredients of a cocktail. Your chefs are professionals, your bartenders should be too.
It's a shame too because they have a nice liquor selection with lots of nice gins, whisky and liqueurs. They even make their own peperoncini vodka by infusing some behind the bar.
In the end, the less than stellar drinks spoiled the memory of the incredible food. And, that's a real shame because otherwise everything...
Read moreI visited Penticton from out of town and I took my friend to Sociale for his 60th birthday dinner on August 13, 2025. We sat on the patio. What a wonderful atmosphere and view, right across from the lake. The food was really tasty and well presented and the cocktails were delightful. What really put my experience over the top however was our server, Selina. She was incredible. Selina was elegantly dressed and carried herself with much class. She was very knowledgeable about the food and beverages being served, which she demonstrated when answering our endless questions when trying to decide what we wanted to order off of the menu. She was attentive without hovering and another thing that really impressed me is that she would always do a scan of the patio to see if anyone was trying to get her attention before going back inside the restaurant. The service we received from Selina is a benchmark for which I will measure other servers. Thank you, Selina. You took our dining experience from Gold...
