What do you eat when you dont want pizza, and you're not feeling like a burger? Chinese food? - not feeling that either. - skip straight to desert? You were raised better. - so what do you do? You order a PULLED PORK SANDWICH from Leopold's. ... Seriously. That's what you have to do.

If you don't... you're settling. Once in awhile you have to treat yourself. You have to put your foot down and ignore the usual fast food suspects. Especially ... if you find yourself on a Friday night. After a long busy work week. You've earned it. (But dont limit yourself to Fridays)

I know what you're thinking ...aren't these guys famous for their poutines? And you'd be right. They are. But my friend...there's more on the menu.

The PULLED PORK SANDWICH is not to be ignored. The meat is hearty and sweat, the coleslaw slaw is on point - it tastes like sophisticated summer in every bite. And it fills you up.

The PULLED PORK SANDWICH IS SO GOOD! ... That I've spent some time thinking about how to help these guys sell more of them. It's just a mild travesty that this powerful sandwich doesn't get more limelight. So I had to break my silence. I had to leave a review.

First visit to Leopold's on the east side. I was hoping for better and was disappointed. Fries were not fresh though they were nicely done originally. They tasted like they were sitting around for an hour or two before being served. Donair was dried out. The meat was crusty, the bread was hard on the edges. Did they make it yesterday and reheat it today? I suspect they did. Poutine was not warm, cheese never melted at all. Gravy was the only slightly warm thing about the poutine. Fries again were not fresh. Decor is gross and overshot dive bar to hoarder's heaven. There was multiple condoms and a mouldy receipt stuck on the wall as 'decor'. Why on earth anyone would take a brand new building and cover the walls with garbage (impossible-to-clean old polaroids, stickers, detritus) is beyond me.

Gordon Ramsay should pay them a visit to fix whatever is going wrong there. The only draw is the craft beer but I get takeout and go to...
