Upon entry our group of 4 were greeted and sat right away. The restaurant was very clean. Our server was very friendly and made sure to check in with us regularly. Our table ordered a vegetarian calzone, all meat calzone, a medium pepperoni pizza, a pineapple pizza and 4 pops. The pizza was cooked perfectly, however the calzones were cold inside. Our server was very nice and had the chef ensure they were hot throughout. At the end of our meal, our server brought out two additional calzones for us to take home due to the inconvenience. This was very appreciated and very thoughtful of the staff. Our experience was 5 stars, however I cannot ignore the fact that both calzones were originally not cooked through (thatâs the only reason for the 4 stars for food category). The pricing was very fair and worth driving across the city for. The food tasted delicious but I wish the fries had seasoning on them but nothing some salt and pepper didnât fix. The service...
Read moreI enjoyed the pizza here! I have some comments but none that would warrant me to take away any stars on their review as they are personal opinions.
The side cesar salad's lettuce was cut up too small and it was kind of expensive for what it is and the portion.
The pizza tasted great, I especially liked the crust! It was not greasy which means a lot these days.
At first glance, it looks like the Saskatchewan-style thick pizza that you would get at Western Pizza but Royal's is a thicker dough base and much less toppings. I don't believe they advertise it as that style so no stars were taken off for that since it was just my own comparison. It was also a bit expensive for a 10" meat lover especially considering the dough but things are expensive these days.
Overall it was great food and I would order again regardless of the opinions...
Read moreTheyâve not been open very long, yet weâve been there twice already. We wanted to try the #25 âRoyal Specialâ and the #19 Pepperoni & Mushroom, but for the latter we had them use their meat sauce for the base. Weâre spoiled now. They were both fantastic. The crust was particularly good - their pizza bread starter with meat sauce was also good.
In my opinion, Regina has a number of good pizza places, and the competition is fierce, but these guys are holding their own. The staff is friendly, attentive and accommodating.
Opening up a new restaurant in a market like this is a daunting task, but once they get into a rhythm, we hope they will be around for a long time....
