Ordered the vegan macro sandwich and vanilla oat latte which were both 10/10 in flavour. The staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was nice. However, I was taken a back by the size of the sandwich. Think a standard piece of bread, cut in half... the wait time was about 10 minutes to order, then a further 40 minutes to get my meal, which was to be expected as the line up at open was huge. They had to open late due to a planned bc hydro outage, so I hadn't eaten before their 1030 open. I finished my sandwich in 2 minutes, and had to go down the street to another cafe and order more food as I was still fairly hungry afterwards. The coffee came out relatively quickly though which I was thankful for so I had something to do while I waited for my meal.

Thank you for your reply. I really enjoyed my visit to Dose, the wait time was really a non issue, was merely pointing it out as a reference to others, and mostly in relation to the size of my meal. I noticed a few weeks ago someone else had very similar feedback to the size of the sandwich and the response was that going forwards the meal would be larger. However, 3 weeks later it hadn't changed, so I felt the need to review so others were aware. I do appreciate the prompt action you have taken, and I would love to come back as I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, I just wish there was more of it. My first thought was, wow, where is the rest of it. The coffee was one of the best I've had in Canada. As an Australian I've really struggled to find a place that can actually make a decent coffee, so I was quite content in enjoying that whilst waiting for my meal.
I've increased my review from 3 to 4 stars based on my overall experience and...
Read moreDisclaimer: I like the taste of black coffee. I ordered the coffee sampler because I wanted to see if I could taste a difference and establish a preference for one over the other (in my mind like a wine tasting). They were all so good in different ways! I prefer all 3 at different points of my never ending day. We also tried something new the roaster was working on....it had a "boozy" type flavor.....I should have taken the time to discuss it......and how the extra flavor of a whiskey of sorts was added. The alcohol "flavor" was strong enough for me to get that little burn in my tummy I get whenever I consume any amount of alcohol. The rest of the family had lattes and consumed them effortlessly! The food was fresh and enjoyable. My sandwich was served on sourdough (which was actually good....I hate that twang of sourness).....the tofu bacon was the star and the incredible sauces...... We stayed at Revelstoke Base Camp and this coffee was featured in the unit. I enjoyed it so much we decided to visit....great...
Read moreOn our recent getaway to Revelstoke, we were excited to check out Dose Coffee. They have a large, dog-friendly patio, so we were able to take Mikki and Merlot with us. The coffee was great, they roast their own coffee.
They have a good range of food items. We both had a breakfast sandwich and drip coffee. They also have a nice selection of baked goods. We bought a cookie to share later, and it was delicious! Plus they offer gluten and vegan-friendly options. We enjoyed it so much we went back again a second day for breakfast and coffee and cookies again. This time we each got our own cookies! No more sharing a single cookie!
Dose is an Australian-themed coffee shop, as the owners are from Australia, and many of the staff that we met were Australian. The staff were great. You can buy their coffee to go at their location, and it's also available at other locations. They offer coffee flights, which we wanted to try, but we ran out of...
