Chef Express Saskatoon — Restaurant in Saskatoon

I’ve ordered from here Several times and ALWAYS GET THE BEST FOOD..!!! However My Friends were passing thru & staying in a Hotel We were visiting & decided to get something to eat… of Course I ordered from My Favourite Late night take out… I ordered at 12:45am We didn’t get the food delivery until almost 4am..!!! This is the first time that this is ever happened usually when I order they say 45 to an hour and it’s always under that time limit and I’m OK if it’s 45 to an hour even an hour and a half I understand that at night time it’s very very busy however they said that they had a problem with the driver didn’t understand where to go which hotel to go to went to the wrong hotel called me I told him which hotel we were at then I called back. They called back things just got worse And the food didn’t come till almost 4 AM and it was cold. Of course it had been sitting in there with the driver for hours driving around the city. I was not impressed neither were my friends. When I called the restaurant the next day they apologized of course and I said this is totally ridiculous because this is never happened before and it’s unacceptable and he said well that’s too bad. Essentially our driver was mixed up. We got it communication mixed up and I said I understand that that’s what happened. What could we do about it and he said nothing we’re not doing anything about it and I said well, at least you could’ve dropped the delivery charge which I shouldn’t have had to pay delivery on anyway because I ordered over $30 worth of food and usually it’s free delivery after that so there’s another mistake And then when I made a fuss about it, he said oh well I was talking to the manager and they said that we could give you 10% off your next order that was a...

I used to order from chef express semi-regularly and it was always good. I went a couple months without ordering from there and it appears they have done a complete 180, they don’t offer some of the best items they used to have. And what they do serve now is horrible. My most recent order was a bento box, udon, ginger beef, gyoza and crab Rangoon. The bento box came without any soup and was poorly cooked and tasted like cardboard. The udon was somehow worse with even less flavour, the stock was just slightly salty water the noodles were overcooked, the veggies had 0 flavour and the amount of chicken I got was the same as half a chicken strip. The gyoza wasn’t horrible but we were unable to eat it since it stuck to the box they came in and pulled all the paper out with them. The crab Rangoon was the most disappointing, they used to have my favourite crab Rangoon in all of Saskatoon and now they are 1/2 the size and 1/8th the flavour. The only thing that didn’t make me miserable was the ginger beef which was still not as good as it used to be.

This is not worth the value you pay for. Chef express used to be a good place but has now fallen to one...

The delivery driver that dropped off the food seemed very nice He was friendly and it is my first time trying chef express. I expected it to be better than what I received, my lo mein and chow mein tasted the exact same (overly oily, almost swimming in it), the shrimp in my fried rice and lo mein didnt seem cooked enough. but the chicken balls were amazing. i recommend to people who do enjoy oily foods, but unfortunately its not my preference. the delivery speed was good aswell, i placed my order around 4:20ish and it was delivered by 5:25. the food was super hot so it was definitely made fresh.
