I dined in for dinner on February 1st with a group of 12. I called the day before and booked a reservation, which they told me they would be able to accommodate. I get there and there was nothing set up for us. Given that we were a bigger group, I was expecting to see tables pushed together to make one big table or something like that. There was only one person manning the front and there were 6-8 other customers present at that time. When I tell the person that I have a reservation, it appeared she was surprised and wasn’t aware that there was a reservation placed. She asked me if I wanted the set up to be arranged for one long table or two separate tables, I requested for one long table. She seemed visibly unpleased with my response and then asked me which of the three rows would I like, I asked for the middle. Again, visibly unpleased and was dragging her feet on the matter. If you don’t want me to take the middle row, why would you ask me that question and give me the option of picking? Could’ve been avoided had the table already been set up for us rather than us waiting a good ten minutes for it to be done right in front of us. The rest of my group came and we all got seated. I had family visiting from out of town and was very excited for this dinner. Once we finally sat down, we noticed that one of the tables was incredible wobbly and saw that there were several gaps in between the ends of the table legs and the floor. We asked the lady if she had anything small to fit under the gaps. She gave us one little folded up piece of cardboard to fit in one gap and the table was still wobbly. We asked for something to fill in the other gaps because we didn’t really want to have to through the hassle of changing out the table. Instead of trying to fix the problem, she suggested that we hold the table in place as we eat! We were baffled by her suggestion and refused to do so. Ultimately, she decided to change out the table for us. Finally when it was time to eat (we went with the dinner buffet), most of the stations were either empty or on the verge of being finished. Service in the kitchen was slow in replenishing the food. The food was decent tasting, I’ve had better but this wasn’t the worst. No one went back for seconds though and everyone left with half empty stomachs, which was disappointing. The only dessert options were gajar halwa and browned fruits, so that was a great sight. It ended up being a frustrating time for me because I wanted to take my family to great restaurant in Saskatoon. If you were not able to accommodate this big group, you should’ve let me know. You had my number, you could’ve called me at any point before our reservation to let me know that. I could’ve been spared the disappointment and gone with a different option. The service overall was abysmal. There were no efforts in checking in on customers to see how they’re doing, nothing done to clear up piling dishes on the dining tables. I had to go up to the lady and ask her to take away the dirty plates. When I went over to her counter, she was on her phone with her feet kicked up. Overall it was appalling behaviour and service we experienced that night. The only good thing that happened was that she gave us the two pops we ordered free of charge. It was an extremely disappointing experience, but we still left a tip. Maybe it was a bad night for the staff, but it left a bad enough taste for me to not go back. Hope future diners have a better time than my...

Read moreLittle Spice is an absolute gem! My dining experience here was nothing short of fantastic. The moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a cozy ambiance. The menu offered a delightful array of dishes, and I was spoiled for choice.
I started with their signature appetizer (samosa and apollo fish), and it was a flavor explosion in my mouth. The main course (Malai botti, tandoori chicken, Hakka noodles and karhai chicken) was equally impressive - the spices were perfectly balanced, and each dish was a culinary masterpiece. The portion sizes were generous, ensuring I left with a satisfied appetite.
The service was top-notch; the staff was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. I appreciate their willingness to accommodate dietary preferences.
To top it all off, the dessert (Gajar ka halwa/carrot halwa)was divine! Little Spice truly knows how to create a memorable dining experience from start to finish.
I can't wait to return to Little Spice and explore more of their menu. If you're a fan of exquisite flavors and impeccable service, this restaurant is a must-visit. Five stars...
