Avoidable! Order 2 to get one quantity! Staff: The staff doesn't know what they are doing, have no idea about ABC of customer service/ care. Looks like they were hired to 'just run a show'. I have been to several restaurants in the city and this one is one of the worse ones.
Order time: We went to dine in as a group, there was just 1 more table booked in at the time, still the order took a LONG time to arrive. I could see that they had a lot of take out and online orders but still it took way longer than other places to get our food.
Service: Once the food was served the server NEVER came back to us to check up on us. Since we were seated at the corner table they didn't even look at us while I tried twice to get their attention.
Order Quality & Quantity: The meat portions were smaller than usual, and our group ended up talking about inflation because of this. My friend had ordered lamb mandi and the meat was just the size of a Large Chicken Quarter leg! Compared to the menu, the food delivered was quite different, for example the veggies mentioned were nothing more than a serving spoonful of cucumbers and lettuce together. Donair mentioned fries and veggies but there was nothing alongside the wrap and the meat was less too. When I asked the guy about it at the time of payment he said the fries would be inside the donair! Seriously? How many 2 strings? I don't remember tasting fries INSIDE a donair and why would you call them fries then?
My buddy had ordered Beef Shwarma rice, all he got was 3-4 thinly sliced beef strips on top of cooked rice, 1 serving spoon of cucumber with lettuce and a kind of tomato kethup topping on beef strips, is this what its supposed to be?
All in all a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT! I am not picky about restaurants and services and I admire the efforts and hardwork that goes in this business, since my friends and family is in this field for years. But this place needs serious introspection.
Sorry guys, me and my friends are never returning again as we didn't feel 'Marhaba'-ed...
Read moreI hate leaving 1-star review but the experience at Marhaba made me leave 1-star review. The food is good. I have no complain about the food but the service staff is ignorant and unprofessional. There were only two tables including us they had to look at. The food came late because the service person who took our order did not listen to us because he was far too busy on the call. There was another service person who was only interested in serving and then keeping himself busy with doing other things. We were looking for ordering more and looking for extra water but the first service person was still on the phone call even after 45 minutes. At the time of payment, when we talked to the second person and complained that we had been trying to get attention from the first service person but he wasn't paying attention to us, he said that he was on a business call. That means we and the other guests were not there for business. I could hear the conversations the first service person was having on the call and it did not at all sound like a business call. The washroom was too filthy and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for a long time. It looks like the owner doesn't care what's going on. I even heard from one of my friends that they have significantly lowered the portion size, but when they complained to the staff, they rudely denied the claim. If you want to experience what a pathetic service looks like, you should have lunch and dinner at Marhaba.
Edit: I visited a second time because a friend wanted to have dinner. I thought the owner would've learned the lesson, but the arrogance and ignorance of the owner continue. This place is still horrible. The staff is showing you the prime example of rudeness and ignorance. There is no smile or courtesy towards customers. The food is still good, but the service people are incompetent and arrogant. And the toilet! You will see the dirtiest toilet in any restaurant. The staff doesn't bother to clean. They believe that it's not their duty to provide the...

Marhaba Delivers Beyond Expectations My recent dining experience at Marhaba in Saskatoon was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I walked through the door, I was welcomed with warmth and hospitality that made me feel right at home. The owner’s recommendations made our visit memorable, guiding us to try the lamb Mandi and the refreshing mango juice.
The lamb Mandi was a revelation. Bursting with rich, aromatic spices and cooked to perfection, it transported me straight to the heart of the Arab world. The meat was tender, juicy, and infused with flavours that left me savouring every bite. The accompanying lamb shank was equally impressive, so succulent and flavoursome that I wished I had more room to indulge.
The mango juice was the perfect complement to our meal, its sweet and tangy notes balancing the savoury richness of the lamb dishes. Great care and pride were evident in preparing every aspect of our meal.
One of Marhaba's most unique and touching aspects is its prayer corner for both brothers and sisters. This thoughtful inclusion shows their dedication to creating a space where everyone feels welcome and respected. It's rare to find such a considerate and inclusive touch in a restaurant, and it truly sets Marhaba apart.
If you are ever in Saskatoon or fortunate enough to live here, Marhaba is an absolute must-visit. The exceptional food, the genuine hospitality, and the inviting atmosphere create a dining experience that is both heartwarming and unforgettable. Marhaba has genuinely captured the essence of Middle Eastern cuisine and culture, making it a gem in the heart...
