The Beachside Patio Bar and Bakery — Restaurant in South Bruce Peninsula

I love walking throughout the beaches in Ontario, especially when you find establishments such as Beachside that make you feel like your are in Mexico! Such a neat place to run into, you have a women cutting hair, a young gentleman renting paddle boards and kayaks.. the place is bumping island music... the vibe is too cool! I highly recommend taking advantage of the Beachside Bakery where you find the most incredible cheese cakes and they look so appealing. The women inside running it is an absolute sweet heart... I think her name is Liz?!?! On the other side of the "Island" you have Beachside's Bar and during my stay I tried just about everything on the menu as it was extremely reasonably priced everything was cooked just right and tasted the way bar food should! My favourite was the Ribs that literally FALL OFF THE BONE! At $15.99 for Ribs and Fries Beachside left me no choice but to keep coming back! The nightlife was impressive as well, Tuesday night we got to bring the kids to a lovely movie just after sunset where they got to have slushies and the nicest thing of all the owner TOM brought us out delicious Kettle Corn on the house. Meeting Tom was a treat in its own...talk about a man with class, he was real, polite and really made sure our time at Beachside was not forgotten! I can't wait to come back next summer!

I had an appalling experience at this restaurant that I feel compelled to share. The owner’s behaviour was shockingly unprofessional and downright frightening. Instead of a warm, welcoming atmosphere, we were met with violence and aggression. We spent over $50 at this establishment, and then my daughter came to sit with us with a finished beverage. He immediately came and began yelling at her to get off his property. The owner afterward chased us, grabbed my sister’s arm and resorted to vile language in front of my young niece. This disturbing behaviour not only made us feel unsafe but completely ruined our experience. After speaking with some of the other business owners on the beach, they said he has a reputation of being incredibly aggressive.

Unfortunately, we read all of the reviews after this experience and almost all of them share the same sentiment. We will never return and have told many people...

My elderly mother and I were up for a week at Sauble/Saugeen Beach this past week. Such a lovely area and we stumbled upon this place. The $2 Caesar’s sign brought us in because we couldn’t believe the price. They were refreshing and the fries and onion rings were spot on. Connect four and other small games on the table was a great touch. We got to watch their life musician who plays happy hour I believe 3 to 6 o’clock. Perfect spot for all ages and even allows dogs and they bring the dogs out water which my mom was so pleased. She had to leave her pup at home due to our cottage not allowing dogs and she said he would have loved it too. Great friendly staff and beautiful view of the lake. We’ll be back...
