茶理宜世 Charlie's Tea（North York） — Restaurant in Toronto

ZERO ⭐️ Staff are disrespectful It’s my first time going to this store. We asked about a promotion I saw on the café’s Instagram, but “the barista seemed unable to understand me”. Instead of trying to clarify or getting assistance, he asked if I want cream or no cream? I wondered - I didn’t even place an order why is he asking me. So I ask again if you have any offer? He replied rudely “there is no off”. I was puzzled and realized probably he doesn’t understand English, as it might not be his first language. So I replied I didn’t ask for off but it’s okay let me go through the menu. His coworker came by and asked him what happened in Mandarin. He turned to her calling us “weird” while we were right there. Even if he assumed we wouldn’t understand, it was extremely unprofessional and made us feel disrespected - So I had to walk out. I couldn’t even try their tea, and I don’t think I will ever go back to...

TLDR: One of the newer bubble tea places along Yonge near Finch station. Paid them a visit when it looked empty but by the time my drink was ready, a bunch of customers flooded the place so have patience if you're looking for good quality drinks

-[LARGE GREEN GRAPE JASMINE MILK TEA] $7.49 🍇 I got mine with the least amount of sugar/ice possible 🍇 It did take a few tries to order the correct drink because the server misheard me but she was super apologetic and worked with me to confirm the drink prior to it being made 🍇 Thank goodness for that because this drink ranks probably in my top five milk teas I've ever had

📝 Based on the next few customers I heard, Mandarin will be your ticket to the easiest ordering experience but other than that, just assume they're trying their best and have patience as they're still...

The decor and interior of this place was spot on. Location is very convenient. The staff and the service was top-notch.

BUT the problem lies in the product. I paid $11 for a regular size bbt and it was one of the worst I’ve had. The tapioca (additional charge) was hard and not very chewable. The tea (clovershrub) lacked any sort of tea flavour. The drink just tasted like milky water. The one I got had pecan sprinkled on top and that was the only saving grace to the whole thing. It was supposed to have hazelnut foam on top - didn’t taste any hazelnut flavour at all. To add to it, the staff gave me a slim/flat straw when I full on added tapioca to my drink.

If you’re looking for a new place to hang out and get some strong AC, this place is great for that. But expect to overpay...
