Went to Guelph to pick a Kijiji but and visit friends. We needed to feed the kids on the way home and our friends recommend Bread and Bowl. We were seated on the patio, and our charming and knowledgeable server (can't remember his name but he was tall, slim and had glasses) recommended things we could order for our kids that wouldn't cost us an arm and leg. We decided on the umami burger, the veggie burger , and two kids Margarita pizzas for the little ones.

But shortly after ordering we decided it would be best to grab everything to go. The server was incredibly accommodating an dhad everything we'd ordered packed up with plates, extra napkins in a great big bag. He deliver it to us less th.n 10 minutes after we do made the switch. Just a all around great sever.

On the way home the kids crushed the pizzas. We sampled as we served them, and they were crusty and chewy tomatoeee and terrific. We then split the veggie burger. My first words were " this a GREAT veggie burger". Texture, sauce bun , toppings, all exceptional . Next we split the fries-which were top notch. Literally a perfect fry imho. Not sure what oil they use, but so good and salted perfectly. And finally we split the Umami burger.Which may be THE BEST burger I have ever had. Not even kidding. We were in a dark car and so I couldn't see all the delicious things on it, but my husband (who figured himself a burger aafficinado), and agreed it was crazy,, crazy good. We would come back for this tasty sandwich alone. Thanks bread and bowl. On all fronts you fully exceeded...

Just had breakfast served by the most uncaring, bored, rude, unhelpful staff I have ever seen. Had to ask for breakfast menu which is not posted but laying on a shelf by the front door. Woman at the sandwich bar sends me to the coffee bar who looks like I just interrupted her from something far more important than helping a customer. Once I finally order I get sent back to the sandwich bar where the young woman cooks up the eggs well enough, spends the rest of her time working on other food without saying a word to me then slaps together my sandwich. Not once did either of these 'customer service reps' smile, say hello, good morning or even thank me when I paid or ordered. I think the owners should send the staff to Tim Hortons where the staff are professional, friendly, smiling and very helpful. Was the sandwich good? Yes it was but I ended up with a bad taste in my mouth from the unbeliveably bad service. I will never go back...

We had the pleasure of dining at Bread and Bowl yesterday and it was an unforgettable experience. This family-run restaurant truly feels like home. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality. You can tell that they care deeply about both the food and their customers.

The menu offers a great variety of dishes, each made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. We tried the pizza and salad, everything was absolutely delicious—flavourful, comforting, and cooked to perfection. It's clear that a lot of love goes into every meal!

What makes this place extra special is the atmosphere. It’s cozy and welcoming, and you can see the passion the family has for their restaurant in every detail, from the homemade decor to the personal touches they add to the service.

If you're looking for a place with delicious food and a heartwarming, down-to-earth vibe, bread and bowl is a must-visit. We can't...

From the moment you walk in, Nilgun greets you with a warm and welcoming smile that sets the tone for a delightful experience. This charming Turkish bakery specializes in baklava that’s truly mouthwatering—flaky, rich, and perfectly sweet. Everything is homemade, from the soft, fresh buns to the expertly baked goods that fill the air with tempting aromas. They also offer extensive catering services throughout the area, making them a local favorite. Whether you're in the mood for a handcrafted sandwich, a made-to-order pizza, or a comforting bowl of soup, this spot has you covered. Pair your meal with a smooth latte and enjoy it in the bright, spacious seating area—perfect for relaxing or catching up with friends. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Lady was polite upon entering but then when I made a comment about how small the wrap was for $10+tax, she told me to go elsewhere and implied I was cheap (even though I had paid). I have no issue with a $10 wrap, but when the entire thing is as big as your thumb you need to say something if only to help them out. She also agreed the wrap was small and suggested I buy more food lol....HIGHLY not recommended for service or food.....she was mumbling something to me as I threw the rest in the garbage and left...half of the wrap was the rolled up wrap itself! See pics lol

The basic breakfast special was good, the home potatoes very nicely spiced, the jam that came with the toast tasty. Everything - eggs easy over, bacon, rye bread, and home fries - was cooked right. It's like a greasy spoon that feels a little big and clinical but offers the vast menu and great service. Espresso coffees are a nice addition. My only concern is the three-egg breakfast platter, a practice becoming common that I find totally unnecessary, adding to price and offering way too much food.
