Went to this place for a birthday dinner with a bit of a larger group, about 15 people. The place is cute and good for photos but has THE WORST service I've ever had at any restaurant or bar. The staff was friendly enough but had no idea what they were doing. Waited 30 minutes for drinks, 1 hour for food and 1 hour and 25 minutes for the BILL! When asked about the bill, the servers told us there was only one debit terminal for the entire place. When we asked again about the bill, we were told they don't do split bills but never informed us of this. Another large party was also in the place and was experiencing the exact same thing as us. One guy expressed that we were literally all waiting to give them our money. The food is good but over priced for small portions. Never going back here again and if you're reading this and want a nice dinner out, find somewhere else. This place doesn't deserve your business. The staff did not even offer to make the situation right for the birthday girl who should have at least had a sorry from the staff. DO NOT GO HERE!

With the reviews being a little iffy.. I wasn’t sure exactly what to expect when I walked into Eighteen30. The moment I stepped into their heated patio, I was immediately warmed up. IT WAS HOT. It was so warm that I was sweating a little since I wore too much. I ordered the Chicken and Waffles and got the Blueberry Pancakes to share. Chicken and Waffles is my go to dish and oh my Eighteen30 did it quite well. The chicken was crispy, juicy, and flavourful. The waffles were nice and chewy. I also liked how it wasn’t overly drenched in syrup, making it the perfect sweet and savory meal to enjoy. By the end of it, I was quite full.. When the Blueberry Pancakes arrived.. I was quite full. I had a bite and it was the perfect way to finish off. I heard dinner is quite lively and delicious as well. I was very content with their brunch menu. Looking forward to trying their dinner menu when I get a chance to stop by. I highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for a nice and cozy heated patio to enjoy food!

I really wanted to be able to write a positive review about this place, because our server was really great, however we definitely will not be returning after the experience we had. We arrived for our reservation and were told there was a 1 hour 15 minute seating time, which we understood given that it was opening weekend for patios. As the hour approached, there were other diners who had been there prior to our arrival, and we were told we would have to leave soon. As a table consisting of both myself, and two friends who were visibly part of the LGBTQ+ community, it was really alarming that we were being told this after spending over $250 within the hour, and 6 tables open. Though they did say there were reservations coming, there were no patrons waiting at the door, and upon looking on open table to book one, there were numerous available following our time slot. It's unfortunate to have had such an experience, and would warrant others to take their money elsewhere in the city!

I want to preface this by saying that I have never written a bad review in my life. This is to emphasize how truly horrible our experience was at Eighteen30 last night. We made our reservation 2 weeks in advance and showed up for our allotted time. First, we were standing outside of the patio covered tent where the security guard Richard stood at the door holding it closed with his back. Literally when we went to try to get his attention just to acknowledge that we had arrived, he completely ignored us. At this point there was about 12 people standing outside waiting. There was no hostess checking peoples reservation times. It was absolute chaos. When we chatted with Richard about how bizarre it was that no one was even checking reservations, he continued to tell us he would “go get the manager”. Yeah 45 minutes go by…not a manager in sight. Our reservation was at 9:45 and we finally sat at 10:30. The girls before us whose reservation was for 9:30 didn’t sit until 10:40. When we finally sat, our waitress was sweet enough, but the drinks took quite some time to come with one drink completely wrong. We ordered some shareables as well, and 2/5 dishes arrived. The waitress proceeded to tell us “We’re out of the shrimp tempura but it’s not good anyways so you’re not missing out on anything.” After a few bites into the two dishes…suddenly one of the workers started going around turning off the patio heaters which were not just the sources of heat on this patio, but are 100% providing the LIGHT. So suddenly we are in total darkness. It was probably 11:00 at this point and we are just in shock. When one of our party tried to acknowledge the worker shutting off the heaters to say we were still eating and If she could please keep the one nearest to us running while we were still seated she completely ignored her as if she didn’t hear. It was INSANE. When our waitress came back we asked to just get the bill and cancel our food if it wasn’t being prepared yet, but she said it was in the oven. So we were expected to eat in the pitch black, freezing cold? We paid our bill, took our food to go and RAN out of there. It is so sad that well run, amazing quality restaurants have not been able to stay open during this lockdown for lack of patio space, and a place like Eighteen30 that clearly doesn’t care about good service or even good food for that matter…is still getting Buisness. What an...

Worst restaurant in Toronto. Please do not visit it and spoil your mood and appetite. First of all, when we reached, the manager (Paul, not sure if he told his true name) treated us and said our table will be ready in 10 mins. Time passed and it was almost 40 min wait now, and they didn’t call us in, rather they called 2 group of 10 each and presented them the table. Now, this obviously frustrated me. I when in spoke to the manager that you told me 10 min wait time and now it’s almost 40-45 mins wait and the table he pointed will be for us still had customers. As soon he saw me frustrated and he knew he was wrong that table was evacuated and was ready for us in 3 mins.

Now it comes to food, they completely forgot what we ordered and manager asks us is everything you ordered served. We were missing chicken wings and when it was served they brought other chicken dish and not wings. Had to wait for another 20 mins to get our order.

Lastly we had pizza and pasta for or meal. The pizza was burnt front the bottom. Literally black base, however I was hungry and I didn’t want to wait I had a couple piece, but to be honest I couldn’t have it as it had burnt taste. When Paul came by, I asked him to get check, and if I need to pay for the pizza and showed how burnt it was. Rather apologizing he, shows attitude and says, if you do not wish to pay you don’t pay.

This was utterly rude and I am like yes I would not like to pay for it. He came by with bill and he tries to act smart (which he isn’t) and want to blame on me saying because we had the pizza and my behaviour he would just make me pay half of the pizza price. Even if he said, sorry I could not do anything would be fine. As I had couple piece. I was like, listen get me the full amount of the bill, and I want no discounts. Because that guy does not know how to talk to a customer. He need to go and learn hospitality. After this experience, I saw the reviews about the restaurant and most of people have experienced this rude and bad behaviour. They need a lot to learn. Extremely disappointing experience.

I would not give a star for this review and please avoid going to this restaurant. And I know they would not have courtesy to reply to this post and apologize for their act as that’s what they are taught. Shame on...

I went to this restaurant and had a great experience. Our seats were comfortable, the service was great and the food was okay. I went back the next night with other friends, and had a HORRIBLE experience. We made reservations, and were seated in the worst possible area on top of uneven rocks which made the chairs and table extremely wobbly. We gave our drink order, and they completely forgot about us. Our drinks came about 15 minutes later, after a second server came out and retook the order. We ordered truffle fries, which came out looking like a pile of frozen fries with no Parmesan or anything. We sent them back and were finally given the correct order. Then, my friend ordered a Caesar and was given his drink without any garnish. The server told us after he had had the drink (came over 15 minutes later) to tell us they were out of every garnish. They should have told us this before hand. We ordered a pizza with Calabrese, which ended up coming with no meat. After all of this, they never offered to compensate anything. They told us that they were stressed out, and have only been open for a few weeks with all new staff... Every restaurant is re opening and in the same position. Rather than giving excuses, they should have taken items off the list and said it was their mistake. Instead, the server ended up buying one of our drinks for us which we felt really bad about. She was a decent server, and nothing was her fault. The restaurant had also no social distancing measures put in place. I felt extremely uncomfortable. When the manager came to talk to us, he pulled down his mask and was very close to us. The restaurant also hired clowns to walk around, which I thought was also very stupid. The clowns were touching people, and handing out balloons without wearing any gloves or anything. This was extremely unenjoyable, and was the cherry on top to ruining the night. I hate complaining, and NEVER leave reviews, but this was such a horrible experience - I will...
