Fresh Kitchen + Juice Bar — Restaurant in Toronto

🦋Right across from Berczy Park, as soon as you walk through the doors you are immediately greeted with a magnificent bar and a trendy, cool-vibe dining area. The colours of the bar are spectacular. It’s well-lit, giving the glass and shelving a presence of its own. It was very busy and we didn’t have reservations, so we decided to sit at the bar - amazing since it looked beautiful.

🦋As we took our seats, the counters were granite, or marble, we never know the difference when just looking at it . We turned our heads up and noticed the magnificent bar right before our eyes. It was even more beautiful up close as the lights shined and reflected brighter because of the mirrors. Right away we knew we were in the right spot - thank God .

This was so delicious. Not going to lie to you but we love Beyond meat. It’s so tasty and to us, way better tasting than meat - we are super grateful that this delicious “meat” could be made by everyone involved . Okay, back to the review (Beyond did not pay us to say this). Obviously the burger was delicious and the bun was a perfect addition. Buns are usually a hit-or-miss when it comes to burgers and this one was not stale, so we are extremely happy with that. The “cheese” sauce didn’t have TOO much taste, but that’s exactly how we wanted it in that specific moment. All-in-all, would definitely say get this with the Beyond meat!

🦋Big Salad

Talk about colours! When this showed up and presented itself in a big bowl, we knew this had to be the big salad. Again, going back to the colours! Ooouuu wwweee! Just looking at it made our health points go up by 1000, if there was such a thing as health points. Either way, the colours weren’t the only thing that blended together so well. The taste of each ingredient mended together as if to say, “Peace & tranquility”. If you want a salad or enjoy having a salad that’s close to a meal, this is definitely your choice - as it was ours. Super amazing!

🦋This is our experience....

This place appeals to me as "BlogTo" mentioned this place as one of the must-see interiors, and dine restaurants in the city. I did not know this place was a vegan restaurant until checking out the menu. Firs the place is well decorated, and spacious place. The vibe was spectacular, and the staff was friendly when I dine here around happy hour. We took up the happy hour menu and pleased with the offerings. However, some dishes didn't fully meet our expectations.

My favorite was the Quinoa Onion Rings. I love the crunch of the onions rings, and how the batter kept the rings together with the complimentary dipping sauce. Squash Tacos for two tortillas is a shareable plate, and the had a generous amount of greens. I was hoping to taste the jalapeno crema as stated on the menu.

Buffalo Cauliflower from the look of it. I assume I can have that crunch, but it was soft and chewy. I've had Buffalo Cauliflower in other restaurants, and I feel this was adequate.

Shishito Patatas Bravas was descent but would love to taste that tomato jam as stated on the menu. Its a really good dish in between meals.

Beyond Cheeseburger Sliders. In my opinion, this was a big miss in my books. Even though the patties and cheese were above and beyond amazing. But the Buns are hard as a rock. I can't call it a burger. This was a disappointment, and would not recommend it to anyone reading this. I told the server about my displeasure of the burger buns, and she told me it is known to the kitchen. I hope it gets...

Literally the best onion rings I've had in my entire life.

And believe me when I say I used to order onions rings all the time in restaurants, malls, and pubs. Now I try to only order rings here; everywhere else is a disappointment in conparison. A friend let me try her meal and I was hooked.

I've systematically tried all the dipping sauces available and your sauce selection is very important! The right sauce with these onion rings will make you crave it, anytime you hear the word "fresh" and this can be problematic. My two favourite sauces with this is the miso gravy that has a slight cheese taste to it and the mushroom gravy. Don't judge this appetizer too quickly if the sauce isn't to your flavour profile. Find your sauce.

Fresh is my gold standard for ordering cross cultural vegan cuisine, even if it's a bit pricey for vegetable dishes. I'm not a vegan but no one really needs to eat meat everyday.

Fresh showed me that you can create a concert of flavours and nutrition with just vegetables. If you really think about it, a lot of the best sauces are made of vegetables. Another side benefit of eating this restaurant's cuisine is that you can learn to cook similar tasty meals yourself.

For me, this is quintessential metropolitan Canadian food: a wonderful blending of ingredients and sauces to create multicultural cuisine. But I don't want to wax poetic too much here. In truth, they had me at...
